(1) This permit was issued in accordance with the provisions set forth in yopur application and is subject to the laws of the State of Colorado and to the Zoning
Regulations and Building Code of Wheat Ridge, Colorado or any other applicable ordinances of the City.
(2) This permit shall expire if (A) the work authorized is not commenced within sixty (60) days from issue date or (B) the building authorized is suspended or
abandoned for a period of 120 days.
(3) If this permit expires, a new permit may be acquired for a fee of one-half the amount normally required, provided no changes have been or will be made in the
original plans and specifications and any suspension or abandonment has not exceeded one (1) year. If changes are made or if suspension or abandonment
exceeds one (1) year, full fees shall be paid for a new permit.
(4) No work of any manner shall be done that will change the natural flow of water causing a drainage problem.
(5) Contractor shall notify the Building Inspector twenty-four (24) hours in advance for all inspections and shall receive written approval on inspection card before
proceediing with successive phases of the job.
(6) The issuance of a permit or the approval of drawings and specifications shall not be construed to be a permit for, nor an approval of, any violation of the

I will try to address the items in the
correction notice given by the building
department on 10/14/02.
The roof framing was changed from the planned
fr~ng because the bearing on the east side was
not as shown. I have enclosed a sketch showing
how the beams are carried down to a bearing
wall.
Thlil improper nailing of 16d rather than Simpson
nails on the hangerS is not a problem. Simpson
catalog C-2002, page 9, shows the same shear for
Simpson SS16D as for 16d common nails. This is
aoceptable at the roof scuttle opening and at
the beam to ~croLam connection.
The improper window framing and north wall
framing is an unknown. They both have header
support, tr~er and sill support. The header
over the door is 2- 1 ~ by 9 1/2 MicroLams. They
calculate as adequate for the beam load above,

The Simpson HU414at the beam end ~s adequate.
The single door trimmers are not overloaded.
The 2 by 6 rafters at 24" centers on the short
north, south and west roof are satisfactory.
They will require a hurricane tie similar to a
Simpson H1 or H2.5. The roof load was also
calculated for the cement tile and found to be
satisfactory.
The single 2 by 10 r~ joist at the west wall
combined with the joist ends will carry the
second floor wall and the roof load applied to
it.
