2. This permit shall expire 365 days after the date of issuance regardless of activity. Requests for extension must be made in writing and

Per our conversation at our ho e (2896 Depew St., Wheat Ridge, C
80214) on Thursday April 13, 2006 I you in
your investigation on the issues with the inspections and contractors who
installed our furnace. These have all been part of an issue with the seller's
realtor from the time we purchased the home in October 13, 2005, so the letter
to the Colorado Division of Real Estate is attached with a more detailed
explanation.
To recap briefly, D & H Heating & Air LiC obtained permits to replace the
furnace at the above mentioned property prior to the selling of the home on
10/13/2005. However, the permits were requested after the work was already
done by another contractor, who did not have a license to work in the city of
Wheat Ridge. The other issue is that an inspector came and supposedly
examined the newly installed furnace and a passed inspection was issued at that
time, but now it appears that there are some internal issues with the
department as conflicting information continues to surface on the City of Wheat
Ridge's part as to who came out, who signed off on approvals and some special
exceptions that were allowed on it.

This letter is in regards to our mechanical permit application for the property located at 2896
Depew in Wheat Ridge. Per my conversation with Mr. Chad Root, our application for replacing
the furnace in the crawl space with an 80% efficient furnace would be granted based on a
hardship due to the following conditions. Placing a condensating furnace of90% efficiency in an
unconditioned space/crawl space would be in my opinion bad judgment due to the potential
problem of the condensation freezing.

Depew in Wheat Ridge. Per my conversation with Mr. Chad Root, our application for replacing
the furnace in the crawl space with an 80% efficient furnace would be granted based on a
hardship due to the following conditions. Placing a condensating furnace of90% efficiency in an
unconditioned space/crawl space would be in my opinion bad judgment due to the potential
problem of the condensation freezing.
