The purpose of this report is to present the results of an asbestos-containing materials survey
performed • August 1, 2013 at the above-referenced location, We understand that this survey of
the on-site building was requested prior to demolition of the structures,
Asbestos-containing materials were identified during the sampling activities described in this
report, Laboratory analytical reports are included in Appendix B.

The buildings located at 3777 Kipling Street, Wheat Ridge, Colorado include a one-sto
structure containing approximately 27,043 square-feet • interior space. The building is woo I
framed and concrete masonry exterior walls, constructed • concrete foundations with roll
roof. The interior walls and ceilings of the building are finished with drywall. The floors a
finished with vinyl tiles. t

The survey was conducted on August 1, 2013 by Michael Hivner, Colorado-certified asbestos

EPA Regulation 40 CFR • Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) and
State of Colorado Regulation 8, Control • Hazardous Air Pollutants, Colorado Air Quality
Control Division, Section III, Part 6. A summary of survey activities is provided below.

homogeneous areas of suspect ACM. A homogeneous area consists of building materials that
appear similar throughout in terms of color, texture, and date of application. Building materials that
were not identified as concrete, glass, wood, masonry, metal, or rubber were considered suspect
ACM.
A physical assessment of homogeneous areas of observed suspect ACM was conducted to
assess the friability and condition of the materials. A friable material is defined by the EPA as a
material which can be crumbled, pulverized, or reduced to powder by hand pressure when dry.
Friability was assessed by physically touching suspect materials,
PCH collected 54 bulk samples from nineteen homogeneous areas of suspect ACM. A summary
of suspect ACM samples collected during the survey is included as Appendix A.

Bulk samples were submitted under chain of custody to Reservoirs Environmental, Inc. f(M
analysis by polarized light microscopy (PLIVI) with dispersion staining techniques per �P
