On 04/17/2019 the City of Wheat Ridge Building Division posted a Stop Work Notice or Notice of Violation on
your property at 4131 KIPLING ST, WHEAT RIDGE, CO 80033 for working without building permits.
As of this date, no permits have been issued to clear the Stop Work Notice or Notice of Violation. You must contact the
Building Division at 303-235-2855 and take necessary action to correct the violation by 07/21/2019 (10 business days of
this notice). No permits, licenses, or other entitlements may be issued by any City Department until this violation has been
cleared. Please contact the Building Division at 303-232-2855.
This letter also serves as notice that the Building Division intends to invoke certain administrative procedures as granted
by Chapter 5 of the Municipal Code of laws of the City of Wheat Ridge.
These possible procedures include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. The Recording of a Notice of City of Wheat Ridge Code Violation on your property with the County Recorder.
2. The issuance of a citation.
3. Formal enforcement action.
4. Administrative fees associated with the investigation and processing of the violation(s).

In order to pass a final inspection on commercial elastomeric or similar type roofing, a
letter of inspection and approval from the manufacturer technical representative stating
that "the application of the roof at (project address) has been applied in accordance with
the installation instruction for (roof material brand name) roof covering" is required to
be on site at the time of final inspection.
Effective December 1, 2014, asphalt shingle installations require an approved midroof
inspection, conducted when 25-75 percent of the roof covering is installed, prior to final
approval. Installation of roof sheathing (new or overlay) is required on the entire roof
when spaced or board sheathing with ANY gap exceeding one half inch exists. Sheathing and
Mid -roof inspections may be called in at the same time, 100 percent of the sheathing must
be complete and 25-75 percent of the midroof may be complete. Asphalt shingles are required
to be fastened to the roof deck with a minimum of 6 nails per shingle. A ladder extending 3
feet above the roof eave and secured in place is required to be provided for all roof
inspections. Roof ventilation is required to comply with applicable codes and/or
manufacturer installation instructions, whichever is more stringent.

abandoned, for a period of 120 days.
If this permit expires. a new permit may be acquired tor a fee of one-hair the amount nonnalty required. provided no changes have been Of will be made in the
original plans and specifications and any suspension or abandonment has not exceeded one (1) year. If changes are made or if suspension or abandonment
exceeds one (1) year, lull fees shall be paid for a new permit.

Contractor shall notify the Building Inspector twenty-four (24) hours in advance for all Inspections and shall receive written approval on inspection card before
proceedilng WIth successive phases ot the job.
The issuance of a permit or the approval of drawings and specifications shall not be construed to be a permit for, nor an approval of, any violation of the provisions
or the building codes or any other ordinance, law. rule or regulation.
