COMMERCIAL FLAT ROOFS: In order to pass a final inspection on commercial elastomeric or
similar type roofing, a WARRANTY LETTER from the manufacturer technical representative
stating that "the application of the roof at (project address) has been applied in
accordance with the installation instruction for (roof material brand name) roof covering"
is required to be on site at the time of final inspection.
LADDER MUST BE SET FOR ALL ROOF INSPECTIONS: A ladder extending 3 feet above the roof eave
and secured in place is required to be provided for all roof inspections.
ALL PITCHED ROOFS REQUIRE A MIDROOF INSPECTION REGARDLESS OF PITCH.
MIDROOF & SHEATHING: Effective December 1, 2014, asphalt shingle installations require an
approved midroof inspection, conducted when 25-75 percent of the roof covering is
installed, prior to final approval. Installation of roof sheathing (new or overlay) is
required on the entire roof when spaced or board sheathing with ANY gap exceeding one half
inch exists. Sheathing and Mid -roof inspections may be called in at the same time, 100
percent of the sheathing must be complete and 25-75 percent of the midroof may be complete.
Asphalt shingles are required to be fastened to the roof deck with a minimum of 6 nails per
shingle. A ladder extending 3 feet above the roof eave and secured in place is required to
be provided for all roof inspections.
REGARDING ROOF VENTILATION: Roof ventilation shall comply with Building Division Policy
BD -18-001 for Balanced Ventilation Systems, or manufacturer installation instructions,
whichever is more stringent.
FOR ROOF PITCH 6/12 AND OVER: Midroof & Final Roof inspections for ROOFS with 6/12 PITCH &
OVER: 3rd party inspection will be required for both the midroof and final inspections. The
3rd party inspection report AND THE ORIGINAL PERMIT CARD needs to be dropped off to the
Permit Desk at the City of Wheat Ridge. The report MUST BE SIGNED by the Homeowner.

I. This permit was issued based on the information provided in the permit application and accompanying plans and specifications and is
subject to the compliance with those documents, and all applicable statutes, ordinances, regulations, policies and procedures.
2. This permit shall expire 365 days after the date of issuance regardless of activity. Requests for extension must be made in writing and
received prior to the date of expiration. An extension of no more than 180 days made -be granted at the discretion of the Chief Building
Official and may be subject to a fee equal to one-half of the originalpermit fee.
3. If this permit expires, a new permit may be required to be obtained. Issuance of a new permit shall be subject to the standard
requirements, fees androcedures for approval of any new permit. Re -issuance or extension of expired permits is at the sole discretion of
the Chief Building Official and is not guaranteed.
4. No work of any manner shall be performed that shall results in a change of the natural flow of water without prior and specific approval.
5. The permit holder shall notify the Building and Inspection Services Division in accordance with established policy of all required
inspections and shall not proceed or conceal work without written approval of such work from the Building and Inspection Services
Division.

I have prepared a sight plan for the temporary containment of the torque converters that we have in
production. UPS delivers the majority of converters that come in at this facility. For this reason, the
converters must be fully drained of oil, before UPS accepts them for shipment. This is a dramatic
difference than the large production of torque converters rebuilt, received, and delivered at the old
facility in Arvada.
The focus has been changed from the common every day torque converters from local transmission
shops, to specialty performance converters that are sent in from all over the country. The torque
converter rebuilding is a small part of the productions performed here at ATS and PTC. Only one half to
two thirds, of the torque converters produced here are painted. This is due to the fact the converters '
that are produced for our own in-house use, do not need to be painted before being installed back in to
the vehicles.
Changing our business strategy and performing work for our selves, has basically eliminated any and
all potential oil contamination problems. Our goal is to keep all oil and fluids contained inside the
building area. Per my conversation with Kent Shriver "Sparky", fire marshal of Arvada, I have written a
rough draft of Sparky's request.
The concem of fire due to the painting of torque converters has been a serious matter that we have
been trying to address, Recenijy, a somewhat new techno ledge has become available to us for coating
converters. The advancement in water base paints has given us the ability to coat the converters, that we ship
out of house, with out the fear of fire due to flammable liquids. Sparky has informed me that the use of water
base paint is acceptable and preferable. The arrangement is as follows: No flammable liquids are to be used
for repairing and/or coating the torque converters. Any converters that are coated must be coated with a water
base paint 'only'.
In addition to this, I would like to add the use of a low atomizing dispensing system. This type of sprayer is
designed to place over 92% of the product on the part opposed to conventional air sprayers that has a 35%
transfer rate,

Dear Clint,
I have reviewed the Binks and Blowtherm information you submitted for the paint booth
you currently have installed in your business and have the following comments.
1. Provide legible copies of the original documents that have a "wet stamp" from a
Colorado licensed engineer.
2. Provide a letter from Rinh "nrl Blomtherm stating-that-the alterari-ons made to the
paint booth do not violate any testing reports on the unit.
3. The plans submitted do not show the booth as being an enclosed booth.
4. Provide a detailed floor and site plan showing the booth location and exhaust
location on the exterior of the building.
5. Provide a detailed site plan showing where you plan to put your temporary
storage area for the torque converters waiting to be rebuilt, NOTE that this area
cannot be located within any part of the onsite detention area indicated on the
original drainage report and plan.
Please provide this information no later than October IS. 2001. Due to the potential
hazards of the booths current installation, if this date is not met we will require that the
booth and all associated equipment be removed no later than October 22. 2001.

Please tind below a list of items needing to be submitted to the fire distrJct and the building department for
review and approval before a building permit can be issued for the paint booth in your facility,
. Manufactures specifications for the paint booth.
. Written approval from the manufacturer to modify the existing booth to create and
enclosed paint booth.
. Due to the original booth being an open face type booth, have the manufacturer provide
documentation from all national testing agencies that certified the paint booth. stating thar
alrering the booth does not void their listings.
. Complete electrical plan stamped by an engineer meeting NEC, Article 500 requirements
for hazardous locations.
. Provide a complete set of fire suppression plans to the fire district for review and
approval.
. Submit information for the containment system proposed for containing parts waiting to
be overhauled thar may be leaking t1uids. Please find anached a copy of sire dramage
information, I have highlighted the area of the on-site detention pond. NO srorage or
containment area may be located within rhis detention area due to storm water
displJcement concerns and \VJter contamin:ltion issues.
ThIS information will be required to be submitted to the building deparonent and the fire district for review
no later than AUllust 20. 2001. Failure to submit the information by this date could result in further
enforcement action to bring existing violations into compliance.
Calculations have been performed to determine the occupant load a~d exiting for the second iloor and it has
been determined that one exit is acceptable from the space due to an allowabl~ occupant load of less than
(10) ten.

purpose was to view the excavated soil material for compliance with the soil

On October 9, 1995 a site visit was performed at the above mentioned site. The
purpose of the visit was to observe the forming for the footings.
On October 11, 1995 a site visit was performed at the above mentioned site.
The purpose was to observe the wall steel in the concrete forms prior to pouring
the concrete for the foundation walls.
All of the work observed was in substantial compliance with the design drawings.
Please refer to the letter from the registered land surveyor (Mr. Herbert K. Linn,

EMPTY DRUMS WHEN THEY DELIVER NEW FULL DRUMS.

FEET FLOOR HEIGHT AT THE MAIN ENTRANCE, EXIT DOORS FROM SHOP(2) , AND AT THE
TOP OF THE MEZZANINE STAIRWAY.
8. ELECTRICAL:
1. WE WILL NOT USE EXTENSION CORDS AND MULTIPLE ADAPTERS, NOR PASS FLEXIBLE
CORDS THROUGH WALLS, CEILING, OR DOORWAYS.
9. INTERIOR FINISH:
1. THERE IS NO CARPETING IN THIS BUILDING.
10. ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:
1. WE WILL PROVIDE METAL CANS WITH LIDS TO STORE USED RAGS IN THE SHOP.

1. Site:
1. The address numbers shall be posted on a temporary
basis and permanently affixed to the building in a mlnlmum
of 4 inch numbers on a contrasting background.
UFC 91 10.301(a). Amended.
2. All-weather fire department access roadways minimum of 20
feet of unobstructed width, capable of supporting the imposed
loads of fire apparatus need to be installed prior to any
above grade construction.

3. Fire lanes will need to be posted as needed and on the gates
stating, "No Parking Fire Lane" with signs that meet City of
Wheat Ridge Standards.

2. Fire Hydrants:
1. The site plan does not show any fire hydrants. A fire hydrant
will need to be located within 300 feet of the building. A
site plan will need to be submitted showing the location of
existing hydrants. If the existing hydrants are in excess
of 300 feet, an additional fire hydrant will need to be
provided at the main entrance. The new hydrant would need
to be installed prior to above grade construction.
