The existing siding consists of about 161 square feet of faux rock fiberglass panels that overlie previous wood paneling and tar paper. About 30 square feet of existing siding is fiber cement shingles. The shingles have not been tested for asbestos. Because it is unknown if the material contains asbestos it will be treated as if it does and disposed of accordingly. Furthermore, the area does not exceed the 32 -square -foot threshold that would require abatement. Rock from Environmental Stoneworks will be installed on top of two-ply black paper and flat metal lath. At the base of the rock siding #7 weep screed will be installed 2 inches above the concrete porch. Flat flashing will cover underlying wood and the bottom course of the stone will butt up against the weep screed. There is one electrical fixture that will not move. Sq. This type of permit is ONLY being processed online --do not come to City Hall to submit an application in person.
