Installation of roof sheathing (new or overlay) is required on the entire roof when spaced or board sheathing with ANY gap exceeding one half inch exists. Sheathing and mid -roofs may be called in at the same time, one hundred percent of the sheathing must be complete and 25-75 percent of the mid -roof may be complete. Asphalt shingles are required to be fastened to the roof deck with a minimum of 6 nails per shingle. Ice and water shield is required. Eave and rake metal is required. A ladder extending 3 feet above the roof eave and secured in place is required to be provided for all roof inspections. Roof ventilation is required to comply with applicable codes and/or manufacturer installation instructions, whichever is more stringent. In order to pass a final inspection of elastomeric or similar type roof coverings, a letter of inspection and approval from the manufacturer technical representative stating that "the application of the roof at (project address) has been applied in accordance with the installation instruction for (roof material brand name) roof covering" is required to be on site at the time of final inspection. The City of Wheat Ridge 7500 West 29th Avenue Wheat Ridge Colorado 80215-6797 Re: Garrison Street Improvements by Property Owner Dear Mr. Goebel As discussed at our field meeting of May 14th and your letter of May 15th, I am in agreement. In addition to your letter we also discussed plan review and traffic control by your staff. As it will be necessary for the footings and deadmen to be under your R.O.W., I will need your approval to do this. I feel that Traffic control can be held to a minumum by use of traffic cones only, and as we discussed the existing vegetation will not be removed until you are ready for backfill. Because the lake is now being filling, construction for this season is over and if we have a heavy runoff in the spring it maybe two years before this project can be completed To finalize all the issues including the drainage, I will furnish you with a drawing of the proposed wall and fence for your review. I would also request a permit for this project at this time that wonld not expire for a minimum of five years. I would like the permit issued now, in case there is a change in the staff or council members this procedure will not need to be repeated.
