inspection, conducted when 25-75 percent of the roof covering is installed, prior to final
approval. Installation of roof sheathing (new or overlay) requires an approved inspection
prior to installation of ANY roof coverings and is require on the entire roof when spaced
or board sheathing with ANY gap exceeding A% -inch exists. Asphalt shingles are required to
be fastened to the roof deck with a minimum of 6 nails per shingle. Ice and water shield is
required. Eave and rake metal is required. A ladder extending 3 feet above the roof eave
and secured in place is required to be provided for all roof inspections. Roof ventilation
is required to comply with applicable codes and/or manufacturer&€"s installation
instructions, whichever is more stringent. In order to pass a final inspection of
elastomeric or similar type roof coverings, a letter of inspection and approval from the
manufacturer's technical representative stating that "the application of the roof at
(project address) has been applied in accordance with the installation instruction for
(roof material brand name) roof covering" is required to be on site at the time of final
inspection.

2. This permit shall expire 365 days after the date of issuance regardless of activity. Requests for extension must be made in writing and
received prior to the date of expiration. An extension of no more than 180 days made be granted at the discretion of the Chief Building
Official and may be subject to a fee equal to one-half of the original permit fee.
3. If this permit expires, a new permit may be required to be obtained. Issuance of a new permit shall be subject to the standard
requirements, fees androcedures for approval of any new permit. Re -issuance or extension of expired permits is at the sole discretion of
the Chief Building Official and is not guaranteed.

Residential Roofing Permit Application
This application is exclusively for new permits for residential roofs and for licensed
contractors only. This type of permit is ONLY being processed online --do not come
to City Hall to submit an application in person. Permits are processed and issued in
the order they are received. YOU WILL BE CONTACTED WHEN YOUR PERMIT
IS READY FOR PICK-UP AND WILL BE GIVEN A SPECIFIC DATE AND TIME
WINDOW TO COMPLETE THE TRANSACTION. You will be notified if your
contractor's license or insurance has expired, and you may update those
documents at the time you are issued your permit. Permits are currently being
processed within 3-5 business days, subject to change based on volume.
For all other requests:
Homeowners wishing to obtain a roofing permit must apply for the permit in person
at City Hall. Revisions to existing permits (for example, to add redecking) must be
completed in person at City Hall. All other non -roofing permits must be completed in
person at City Hall. The Building Division will be open from 7:30-10:30 a.m.,
Monday through Friday to process these types of requests.

This report presents the results of the subsurface soils data and infortnation obtained to be applied
toward the proposed activities at the location referenced above.
Soil information was retrieved from the NRCS Web Soil Survey mid analyzed to provide data on the
classification and engineering characteristics of the on-site, soils.
This report has been prepared to summarize the data obtained and to present our conclusion and
recommendations based on the proposed foundation repair and the subsurface conditions encountered.
The proposed activities consist of the stabilization of an existing residential foundation system. The
existing foundation will be retrofitted with multiple Push Piers and SniarOacks by Foundation
Supportworks), to stabilize an existing concrete foundation wall.
If the project features diffier significantly from those described, our firm should be contacted to
reevaluate the recommendations contained herein,
The subsurface conditions consist of the Nunn clay loam, 0 to 2 percent slopes. Typically, the surface
layer and the upper part of the subsoil are neutral, dark grayish brown clay loam about 6 inches thick.
The subsoil in the next 17 inches is neutral, and mildly alkaline, brown clay to and clay. In the lower
12 inches it is moderately alkaline, pale brown clay loam. The substratum to a depth of 60 inches is
moderately alkaline, light yellowish, brown and very pale brown clay loam. Included in mapping are
small are of Englewood soils in small drainage ways, Denver soil on terraces, and Ulm soils on hill
slopes. Also included are small areas of Urban land, The included soils and. Urban land make up are
about 15 percent of the total acreage.
Ground water is expected to be well below existing grade however the table may rise due to seasonal
changes, degree of irrigation and/or other factors.

Seismic influence is negligible with no anticipated impacts to the foundation underpinning. Frost depth
shall be considered to be 30" below existing grade, The native soils may include elements that possess
corrosive properties. If concrete is to be used in the repair, all concrete shall be Type I. All below grade
steel shall be galvanized, painted, or coated with other approved sealer to prevent corrosion.

No new footing drain is expected to be installed at this time; however, if an existing drain is discovered
and damaged during excavation that section should be repaired in the damaged areas alone. Drain
construction or repairs, if any are needed, shall be inspected by the foundation design engineer of record,
Any soil disturbed adjacent to bearing foundation components shall be compacted to a minimum of 85%
Modified Proctor Density. Soil supporting concrete slabs shall be compacted to95%. Mechanical
compaction methods shall be used.
I ) The ground surface surrounding the exterior of the building should be sloped to drain away from
the foundation in all directions, We recommend a minimum slope of 12 inches in the first 10
feet.
2) Roof downspouts and drains should discharge well beyond the limits of the backfill.
3) f,andscaping which requires excessive watering should be located at least 10 feet from the house,
4) Plastic membranes should not be used to cover the ground surface adjacent to the foundation
walls,
`rhis report has been prepared with generally accepted soil and foundation engineering practices in this
area fear use by the client for design purposes. The conclusions and recora, mendations presented are,
based on data obtained from the NRCS Web Soil Survey. The nature and extent of variation from this
report may not become evident until excavation is performed. If during construction, soil, rock and
groundwater conditions appear to be different from those described herein, our office should be advised
immediately so that reevaluation of the recommendations may be made.
It must be noted that precautions should be taken to accommodate for inconsistencies in the
properties/characteristics of the on-site soil, variations in groundwater levels due to seasonal changes,
etc.
This report DOES NOT address the potential for geologic hazards or constraints (i.e., slope
stability, landslides). It must be emphasized that such hazards and constraints are outside the
scope of this investigation and must be investigated independently.
