Your question about the roof trusses is answered by the manufacturers stamp. The Truss Shop stamped the trusses 30/50 which means a 30psf live load and a 50psf total load. That usually is taken to mean a 10psf roof dead load and a 10psf ceiling dead load. The 2 by 6 ceiling joists below the trusses can be removed, the wall bearing them at the center can be removed. The exposed trusses can then have GWB applied with appropriate insulation above. This usually is R-38 with a warm side vapor barrier. It will require tieing the trusses to the CMU wall to hold them down. In the southwest corner there are two trusses which had the bottom chord cut. The verticle web at the cut rests on a wall which you propose to Geno Crusan, page two, December 1, 2004 remove. This can be done by repairing the cut bottom chord. I have shown that repair on page two of the attached sketches. You must add a 2 by 6 each side of the remaining 2 by 4 bottom chord stubs.
