Installation of roof sheathing (new or overlay) is required on the entire roof when spaced or board sheathing with ANY gap exceeding one half inch exists. Sheathing and mid -roofs may be called in at the same time, one hundred percent of the sheathing must be complete and 25-75 percent of the mid -roof may be complete. Asphalt shingles are required to be fastened to the roof deck with a minimum of 6 nails per shingle. Ice and water shield is required. Eave and rake metal is required. A ladder extending 3 feet above the roof eave and secured in place is required to be provided for all roof inspections. Roof ventilation is required to comply with applicable codes and/or manufacturer installation instructions, whichever is more stringent. In order to pass a final inspection of elastomeric or similar type roof coverings, a letter of inspection and approval from the manufacturer technical representative stating that "the application of the roof at (project address) has been applied in accordance with the installation instruction for (roof material brand name) roof covering" is required to be on site at the time of final inspection. This type of permit is ONLY being processed online --do not come to City Hall to submit an application in person. FHF Construction INC cannot pay, waive, rebate, or promise to pay, waive or rebate all or part of any insurance deductible applicable to the insurance claim for payment for roofing work on your property. 3. All agreements shall be subject to our credit department and office without exception. Approval must be obtained from the office for this contract to be effective under any conditions. FHF Construction INC has the right to excess material. These materials will not be charged above the agreement price. All excess material belongs to FHF Construction INC. If materials need to be restocked or reorder due to a cancellation from the customer, there will be an additional RESTOCKING FEE OF $500.00. 4. Supplement paid by the Insurance Company for the additional labor and materials needed beyond the original scope or repairs shall be paid directly to FHF Construction INC. 5. All material is guaranteed as specified. All work to be completed in a workmanlike manner according to standards practices. Any alterations or deviation from above specifications involving extra costs will be executed only upon written orders, and will become an extra charge over and above the estimate. All agreements contingent upon strikes, accidents, and delays beyond control. FHF Construction INC shall have no responsibility fordamages from rain, tornado, windstorm, or other perils. Any representation, statement or other communications not written in this contract are agreed to be immaterial, and not relied on by either party, and do not survive the execution of this contract. 9.The company is not responsible for any damage below the roof, due to leaks by winds in excess of 45 mph, ice dams, hail, and depressions in driveway caused by trailers or dumpsters. The company is also not responsible for nail pops. 10.The company willtake appropriate means necessary to protectthe roof during the repairof the roof and duringthe entire duration ofthe work, the homeowner's insurancewill be responsible forANY interior damage. 11. The dollar amount of the contract is the amount approved by the Insurance Company (RCV), for the scope of loss, plus overhead and profit (if applicable) and any agreed to upgrades. ANY replacement of damaged or deteriorated decking, flashing, roof jackets, fascia boards, vents, or other material unless in this contract and agreed by the Insurance Company are considered NOT INCLUDED and will need to be charged as material and labor. 12. The final payment in full shall not be held up while waiting for the city to inspect the work. The company agrees to meet or exceed all city inspection requirements. 13. This company does not take responsibility for the damage to solar panels on the roofing during repairs. homeowner agrees to take necessary means in removing, protecting, and a re -installing of solar panels at homeowner's expense unless stated otherwise in the contract. 18. The company wlI not take responsibility for previous construction problems on your home. The company will point out and inform the homeowner on correction the problem on a materials and labor basis. 19. Homeowner's agreement to the contingent statement on the front of this contract holds the entire contract as valid and binding as long as the Insurance Company approves to pay homeowners for the loss. 20. Roof replacement label warranty is for 5 years, 1 year for siding replacement, 5 months on gutter instillation and 1year on repairs. Warranty info will be supplied with Completion Certificate. 21.
