CO 80250 RE: Foundation Footing and Foundation Wall Observations, 3341 Yukon Ct. Dear Mr. Nettleton-, On April 28, 2016 a footing observation was performed and on May 6,, 2016, a foundation wall observation was performed on the residence listed above. The applicable information concerning the observations is as follows: SPREAD FOOTING FOUNDATION OBSERVATIONS — Lil 8, 2016 The footing widths and depths were formed according to the contract documents. Properly sized horizontal reinforcing was provided continuously in the forms. The reinforcing steel for the footings was properly lapped and tied and had been placed in the forms prior to concrete placement. Footing dowels were on site, Footing forms were placed on undisturbed natural soils and were clear of debris and loose soil, FOUNDATION WALL REINFORCING OBSERVATION zMay, 6,201( The foundation walls height, thickness and reinforcing were formed according to the contract documents. Reinforcing was placed to provide adequate cover and was properly lapped and tied, The anchor bolts were on site and sized according to plan. The foundation forms were centered over the spread footing foundation system, Vertical dowels extended from the footing into the foundation wall at 24" on center. The foundation forms were clear of debris and loose soil. Please contact our office if we may be of further assistance. The relative swell classification can be correlated to potential slab damage a follows: €a - minor slab cracking, minor differential movement, and heave Moderate - lab cracking and differential movement, partial framing void and furnace plenum closure, High to Very High- large slab cracking and differential movement, closed voids, closed furnace plenum, and possible pipe rupture. These effects are leased on monitoring and observation by several finns in the Denver metropolitan area and are not limited to the relative swell classification.. More or less damage can occur` in all classifications because of the uncertainty associated with subsurface conditions and geotechnical engineering. In certain cases, Savoy Engineering Group may make assumptions about design conditions that may or may not be accurate for the location of concern. It is the responsibility of the installing HVAC contractor to verify the design conditions before equipment purchase and installation. Any load calculations provided in the following pages are based upon information provided by the party submitting a particular project to Savoy Engineering Group. Savoy Engineering Group has not and does not independently verify that the data provided to Savoy Engineering Group is correct or complete, and any calculations made by Savoy Engineering Group are based upon the information provided by third parties. Savoy Engineering Group makes no claim that the information given to us is correct or complete. Savoy Engineering Group utilizes WrightSoft Residential 15.0 which is an ACOA Certified and ASHRAE recommended computer program to determine the heating and cooling loads presented in this report, and is therefore very accurate. If the information given to Savoy Engineering Group is accurate, and the building is built as per the plans submitted, then the load calculations presented in this report can be assumed to be accurate. A licensed mechanical contractor may use these calculations as a starting point in system sizing and selection. Savoy Engineering Group does not provide architectural or engineering plans or diagrams for the public or for use by contractors or construction companies as final "construction documents". Savoy Engineering Group works with architectural and engineering firms and with contractors in connection with their designs of heating and air conditioning systems, If the FIVAC duct layout installed on-site DOES NOT match the Manual D duct design prepared by Savoy Engineering Group, then Savoy Engineering Group cannot and will not guarantee the performance of any altered duct design. Final JIVAC sizing and selection should be done by a licensed HVAC contractor, Many factors beyond the scope of this report must be considered prior to final system selection and design, such as: exact equipment availability and selections, system controls and location of controls, system air distribution and cycling, Uniform Building Code requirements, Uniform Mechanical Code requirements, and many other standard design conventions as listed by the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). Savoy Engineering Group therefore assumes no liability for final equipment selection or final system design.
