Midroof & Final Roof inspections for ROOFS 6/12 PITCH & OVER: 3rd party inspection will be
required for both the midroof and final inspections. The 3rd party inspection report AND
THE ORIGINAL PERMIT CARD needs to be dropped off to the Permit Desk at the City of Wheat
Ridge. The report MUST BE SIGNED by the Homeowner.
REGARDING ROOF VENTILATION: Roof ventilation shall comply with IBC Sec. 1203.2 or IRC Sec.
R806. The installation of ridge venting requires the installation or existence of soffit
venting. For calculation purposes, one hat or turtle vent equal to one-half of one square
foot of opening.
Effective December 1, 2014, asphalt shingle installations require an approved midroof
inspection, conducted when 25-75 percent of the roof covering is installed, prior to final
approval. Installation of roof sheathing (new or overlay) is required on the entire roof
when spaced or board sheathing with ANY gap exceeding one half inch exists. Sheathing and
mid -roofs may be called in at the same time, one hundred percent of the sheathing must be
complete and 25-75 percent of the mid -roof may be complete. Asphalt shingles are required
to be fastened to the roof deck with a minimum of 6 nails per shingle. Ice and water shield
is required. Eave and rake metal is required. A ladder extending 3 feet above the roof eave
and secured in place is required to be provided for all roof inspections. Roof ventilation
is required to comply with applicable codes and/or manufacturer installation instructions,
whichever is more stringent. In order to pass a final inspection of elastomeric or similar
type roof coverings, a letter of inspection and approval from the manufacturer technical
representative stating that "the application of the roof at (project address) has been
applied in accordance with the installation instruction for (roof material brand name) roof
covering" is required to be on site at the time of final inspection.

2. This permit shall expire 365 days after the date of issuance regardless of activity. Requests for extension must be made in writing and
received prior to the date of expiration. An extension of no more than 180 days made be granted at the discretion of the Chief Building
Official and may be subject to a fee equal to one-half of the originalpermit fee.

Although we do our very best to prevent the following from happening, unfortunately some things are out of
our control.
ALL ROOF TYPES:
• Your roofing project will be very MESSY for the duration of the project. Allow us to finish and we will
be sure to properly clean up the job site.
• Since there is no other way but to nail down your new roof this vibration along with general traffic
during the installation may cause some damage to your interior. The following are some of the damages
that vibration may cause... pictures and valuables hanging from the wall to fall, sheet rock nails may pull
loose and expose the nail head, may also cause cracks in the sheetrock if the house framing is weak.
• Move any vehicles from the driveway during the entire duration of the project. Flying materials may
damage your car. Nails may be on your driveway which could cause damage to your tires. Always
inspect the driveway before pulling up the first time.
• Move any special decorative items from the perimeter of your home to prevent damage.
• Remove any pictures, mirrors or other items off the walls which may possibly be shaken down due to
vibrations during the roofing process.
• Although we do our best to remove all nails from the perimeter of your home it is almost impossible to
get every single one. After the roof is completed please be on the look out for any nails.
• Unfortunately, some plants and grass may be slightly damaged during the roofing process.
• The old roof was probably glued/tarred to your siding and since we are tearing this old roof off, your
side wall may be damaged or appear un -even.

• Please check your hot water heater and/or furnace exhaust pipes to make sure they were not knocked
loose during the roof installation. Vire are working on the outside of the house and do not have access to
check this upon completion. It is recommended that you have an HVAC professional inspect the
exhaust pipes in the attic once per year.
RE -DECKING PROJECTS
• If we are installing decking, you must remember that the decking is attached to your rafters. If your
rafters arc wavy, which is comm'6h due to standard settling, it may cause the decking to appear wavy.
This is not the responsibility of Infinity Roofing & Siding Inc.
We will do our best to clean out any wood shake debris from the attic. Unfortunately, your attic will not
be as clean as before we started. Please also use discretion when opening the attic door for the first time
as debris and dust tend to settle there.

ROOFING INFORMATION GUIDE
Although we do our very best to prevent the following from happening, unfortunately some things are out of
our control.
ALL ROOF TYPES:
• Your roofing project will be very MESSY for the duration of the project. Allow us to finish and we will
be sure to properly clean up the job site.
• Since there is no other way but to nail down your new roof this vibration along with general traffic
during the installation may cause some damage to your interior. The following are some of the damages
that vibration may cause... pictures and valuables hanging from the wall to fall, sheet rock nails may pull
loose and expose the nail head, may also cause cracks in the sheetroek if the house framing is weak.
• Move any vehicles from the driveway during the entire duration of the project. flying materials may
damage your car. Nails may be on your driveway which could cause damage to your tires. Always
inspect the driveway before pulling up the first time.
• Move any special decorative items from the perimeter ofyour home to prevent damage.
• Remove any pictures, mirrors or other items off the walls which may possibly be shaken down due to
vibrations during the roofing process.
• Although we do our best to remove all nails from the perimeter of your home it is almost impossible to
get every single one. After the roof is completed please be on the look out for any nails.
• Unfortunately, some plants and grass may be slightly damaged during the roofing process.
• The old roof was probably glued/tarred to your siding and since we are tearing this old roof off, your
side wall may be damaged or appear uneven.
