I. This permit was issued based on the information provided in the permit application and accompanying pplans and specifications and is
subject to the compliance with those documents, and all applicable statutes, ordinances, regulations, policies and procedures.
2. This. permit shall expire 365 days after the date of issuance regardless of activity. Requests for extension must be made in writing and
received prior to the date of expiration. An extension of no more than 180. days made be granted at the discretion of the Chief Building
Official and may be subject to a fee equal to one-half of the originalpermit fee.
3. If this permit expires, a new permit may be required to be obtained. Issuance of a new permit shall be subject to the standard
requirements, fees androcedures for approval of any new permit. Re -issuance or extension of expired permits is at the sole discretion of
the Chief Building Official and is not guaranteed.

WOOD FRAMING NOTES:
1. All wood for structural framing shall be Hem Fir visually graded lumber per NDS. unless noted otherwise on plans. All dimensional
lumber shall be S4S at maximum moisture content of 19%. Finger -jointed material is not permitted. Exterior framing walls shall be 20
studs at 16 -inches on -center with double top plate. Do not cut double top plates at headers.
2. Metal connectors specified as "Simpson" are manufactured by Simpson Strong -Tie, Inc. Installation of framing hardware and
fasteners shall be in strict compliance with manufacturer specifications. USP alternative hardware may be substituted upon approval by
otherwise on the plans. Wood sill plates in contact with concrete or masonry shall he preservative -treated or naturally durable mod.
Fasteners, including nuts and washers, and hardware at preservative treated wood shall be hot -dipped, zinc -coated galvanized steel,
stainless steel, silicon bronze or copper. Refer to manufacturer recommendations for coating types. Refer to IRC Section R317 for
additional information.

Emergency Escapes:
All basements and sleeping rooms must have an emergency escape window or exterior door. Emergency
escape windows with a sill height below grade must be provided with an emer-gency escape window as
well as ladder. For details on Emergen-cy escape windows, see Section R310 of the International
Resi-dential Code.
Emergency Escape And Rescue windows must meet the following criteria:
• A minimum net clear opening of 5.7 square feet
• A minimum net clear opening height shall be 24 inches
• A minimum net clear opening width shall be 20 inches
• A finished sill height of not more than 44 inches above the floor

this addition. I also visited the site on May 11, 2015 and observed the completed framing.
It is my understanding that there were some concerns about the tateral stability of the
addition. However, with the solid wall at the west end of the addition to resist north -sou
movement and numerous walls on the existing house to resist east -west movement, I am
confident that the addition is laterally stable. I
