This permit shall expire if (A) the work authOrized is not commenced within sixty (60) days from issue date or (B) the building autho~zed is suspended or

If this permit expires, a new permIt may be acquired for a fee of one-half the amount normally required, provided no changes have !been o~ will be made in the

exceeds one (1) year, full fees shall be paid for a new permit. '
No work of any manner shall be done that will change the natural flow of water causing a drainage problem.
Contractor shall notify the Building Inspector twenty-four (24) hours in advance for all inspections and shall receive written approvall on inspection card before
proceediing with successive phases of the job. '
The issuance of a permit or the approval of drawings and specifications shall not be construed to be a permit for, nor an approval ot. any violation of the provisions
of the buil. codes or any other ordinance, law, rule or regulation.

Dear Mr. Molnar,
The following letter is an informational letter regarding the furnace installation at the above
referenced address and to clarify some information stated in a letter to you from Mr. Eugene
Pendery.
According to our records the furnace was tagged by Public Service Company on October 18,
1990 for a faulty furnace and copper gas line connections at the water heater and furnace. On January
30, 1991, an inspector performed an inspection at the above referenced address and found the
following violations, no building permit for the installation, jlue not installed correctly, a furnace
not supported correctly andjlue not safe due to connection.
Unless Mr. Pendery can produce a building permit for the installation of the furnace, the
correction notice dated January, 30, 1991and the corrections notice dated August 2 I, 1999 are still
in violation. The City does not remove Public Service Company hazard tags when a violation has
been corrected and Public Service Company does not have records that go back more than three
years for me to verify.
It is the Cities position that the violation still stand and a building permit need to be obtained

Mr. & Mrs. Molnar:
I am in receipt of your captioned letter which was hand-delivered this dale.
Firstly let me for the record note that you both have signed off on any and all
defects v.tlich might or might not occur by taking a price reduction on the
Purchase Price of the residence. It was made clear at closing that you are in fact
a professional in these matters and presented business cards to all present.
Not withstanding the above, the furnace was replaced and the city of Wheat
Ridge wa& informed that the furnace had been replaced and the taa was
removed at that pOint in time. If the installation is not to code it is not my
responsibility because I was not aware of any continuing violation, having been
informed by the then current Tenant that Wheat Ridge had removed the tag.
However, wanting to be a reasonable Seller, I would entertain the idea that we
split the cost of lakewood Plumbing examining and estimaling the cost of
bringing the curren' furnace up to code. Following this examination, J would
agree to pay up to $100.00 of the costs of said work. If this is agreeable, I would
want to be present when the Lakewood Plumbing Associate is reviewing the
situation_ Alternatively, I would agree to pay you $100,00 and you deal with the
Wheat Ridge violation.
If the above suggestion is not acceptable then it would seem that we would see
each other in Court. Please advise your intentions by the close of business on
October alii, 1999.

Dear Mr. Molnar,
Per your request, an inspection of your furnace was performed on September 22, 1999 and
the following violations where noted,
1. No permit was pulled for the installation of the existing unit.
2. Improper electrical connection between the furnace and the disconnect switch.
3. The furnace is improperly supported on bricks.
4. No combustion air is provided to the unit.
5. Improper and unsafe flue connection and furnace.
Item five listed above is a violation that could result in a hazardous condition and needs to
be corrected and reinspected no later than October 4. 1999 and all other violations need to be
corrected and inspected no later than October 22, 1999. Failure to meet these dates could result in
Public Service Company being contacted and gas service being disconnected.
