The proposed house will have a crawl space. At the time of our visit the excavation had been dug to a depth of nil ro 4 feet deep and footings cast. The soil exposed in the bottom consisted of moist, stiff, sandy clay and similar to that encountered in our borings. In our opinion the house may be founded on Type 4 spread footings designed for a maximum soil pressure of 2500 psf and a minimum dead load pressure of 800 psf.
