This inspection was completed at the request of Robert Turley, the contractor for the referenced property. Mr. Turley informed us the clients want to remove the wall between the kitchen and living room at the above referenced address. We were asked to evaluate the modification to determine if it has any structural load bearing function. LEVEL Engineering LLC has inspected the wall in question at 4743 Everett Court, Wheatridge, Colorado, and this letter reflects our observations. OBSERVATIONS OF ST'RUC I URE: The duplex was built in 1992 and is approxiately 1000 square feet of living space. The house has a poured concrete crawlspace style foundation. The house is conventionally framed consistent with the era and has two floors above the basement. The roof consists of dutch -gable roof style raftered framing 2'-0" o.c.,with collar -ties every other pair. The roof braces were obeserved to fall on the east -west walls of the house. The kitchen wall that is to be removed is approxiately 8'-0" long running north -south and is parallel with the ceiling joists above.
