2. This permit shall expire 365 days after the date of issuance regardless of activity. Requests for extension must be made in writing and
received prior to the date of expiration. An extension of no more than 180 days made be granted at the discretion of the Chief Building
Official and may be subject to a fee equal to one-half of the originalpermit fee.
3. If this permit expires, a new permit may be required to be obtained. Issuance of a new permit shall be subject to the standard
requirements, fees androcedures for approval of any new permit. Re -issuance or extension of expired permits is at the sole discretion of
the Chief Building Official and is not guaranteed.
4. No work of any manner shall be performed that shall results in a change of the natural flow of water without prior and specific approval.
5. The permit holder shall notify the Building and Inspection Services Division in accordance with established policy of all required
inspections and shall not proceed or conceal work without written approval of such work from the Building and Inspection Services
Division.

As a result of policy changes enacted by the Building Division on October 2, 2008, to promote the installation of
renewable energy systems in the City of Wheat Ridge and uniform application of SB 08-117, aggregate fees for
residential solar installation permits in the City of Wheat Ridge have been capped at a maximum of $500.00,
including all use taxes and permit and plan review fees.
In response to this policy change, the Building Division has retroactively applied this policy to permit number
081034, purchased by your firm on 09/08/08, which has resulted in the enclosed refund check in the amount of
$883.00.
We trust that you will continue to promote renewable energy systems within the City of Wheat Ridge and look

APPLICATION:
The RoofTrac mounting system consists of sup-
port rails and top-down clamping hardware which
is integrated with either a TileTrac or FasUack
attachment device. The Rooffrac mounting sys-
tem can be utilized on virtually all standard con-
struction residential roof-tops, mounting 4' on
center, to install the majority of popular framed
solar modules.
AA WARNING
All Professional Solar Products (ProSolar) are engineered
and tested to withstand stated specifications (as stated on
published specification sheets) when installed properly. Fail-
ure to install properly may decrease the performance of in-
stallation.
O SAFETY
All regional safety requirements should be followed when
installing Professional Solar Products. All tools and equip-
ment located on the roof should be secured to avoid falling
object hazards. All equipment/tools should be properly
maintained and inspected prior to use. Any exposed studs
should be protectively capped to help avoid injury.
This installation manual is intended for use by professional
installers with a working knowledge of construction princi-
ples.

Attachment and clamping of the solar modules to
TileTrac@ or FasUackO attachments works exactly the
same. After the support rails have been fastened, you
are ready to install the solar modules. There are two
sets of clamps; the outside clamps (end clamp) (Fig.
1) and the inter-module clamps (Fig. 2) that install
between the modules.
Please note that all module end clamps are specially
extruded to fit a specific brand of module as specified
in the ordering guide.

Step 5: Installing Modules
Slide the two end clamps near the end of the
support rail and install your end module (first).
Carefully square the module to the frame and
tighten the clamps using a 1/2" box wrench or
drive socket. DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN, we recom-
mend a maximum torque of 12 foot pounds to
prevent damage to the module.
Upon installation of the last module in the panel,
install the module end clamp to the end of the last
module. Before fully tightening the bolts, make
any adjustments needed to create a square and
even array. Once all modules are in the position
desired, use a 5/16" Socket impact set to 12 ft.
Ibs to tighten the bolts on the clamps.

After the first module is secured, slide two inter-
module clamp sets onto the first module side
frame. They are designed to stay in place, freeing
you up to slide and align the next module into place.
Repeat this procedure until all modules are in-
stalled onto the support rail.
To complete the installation, cut off any excess
support rail not used with a reciprocatingsaw.
You may want to use an extrusion blade.

DESCRIPTION:
The CHEMCURB SYSTEM replaces old-style metal
pitch pans with versatile, precast components and
pourable sealants that can usually be installed in
under 15 minutes-and never require flashing or
mechanical attachment. Designed for use on granu-
lated modified bitumen, and asphalt and coal tar
B.U.R. Also specified for PVC, EPDM, PIB and TPO
single ply roofing (Must use Chem LInkTPO Primer
with TPO.) When installed properly, this system forms
a durable, waterproof rubber seal around penetra-
tions of any size. A 70-year warrantyagalnst leaks
is activated with su6mfttal o/ tompleted card.
The ChemCur6 System has three components:
(1) CHEMCURB exteiioi forms: rings/straights/corners
(2) M4T^'Structura/Sealantforbonding/sealing/piiming.
(3) 1•PARTT" moisture cure pourable sealer, or PRO
PACKT^^ two-parl wethana pourable sealei.
CHEMCURB precast forms are composed of gray
polyester resin. Round curbs have an inside diameter
of 7.5 or 5 inches. 12- and 6-inch straight curbs are
available to extend the round curbs, and to combine
with corner curbs to form rectangular seals. All
pieces are two inches high. The curved outer sur-
taces are impervious to ice, corrosion, UV (ultraviolet
light) and ponding water.
M-1 Structural Sea/ant is a durable, self-tixturing,
moisture cure mastic. Two cartridges of gray M-1 are
supplied in each kit and carton of ChemCurbs.
7-PART is a light gray, highly flexible, self-leveling
moisture cure pourable sealer that eliminates mix-
ing. It is also 100% solid rubber, has no V.O.C.
(volatile organic content), will not melt or shrink, and
is resistant to deterioration. Supplied in 28-oz.
cartridges or iwo-liter pouches (four to a Field Pack).
Unused sealer can be capped and reused.
PRO PACK is a black, two-part urethane pourable
sealer designed for seH-leveling, horizontal applica-
tions. When properly mixed, it cures to a tough,
waterproof rubber mass with excellent lowtempera-
ture elasticity and adhesion. Pro Packis 100%solid
rubber and has no V.O.C. It is thermosetting (will
not melt) and will not shrink. Also highly resistant
to weathering, joint movement, water and ice.
Supplied in premeasured one-gallon kits.
CHEMCURB SYSTEM"
Penetration Seals
INSTALLATION:
(1) M-1 Structura/ Sea/ant is used to bond
ChemCurbforms tirmly in place on the roof surface,
to seal the base of the penetration and the outside
curb perimeter, and to prime the penetration(s).
(2) 1-PARTpourable sealer or PRO PACKis poured
into the curb, forming a 2-inch deep waterproof
rubber seal. One gallon (or two pouches) fills iwo
7.5-inch or six 5-inch ChemCurb rings.
CAUTION:
Pipes and penetrations should be steel brushed to
remove plastic cement and asphalt.
SPECIAL CHARACTERISTICS:
• Rapid installation-reduces labor significantly.
• Excellent adhesion to most roofing materials.
• No flashing or mechanical attachment required.
• Flexible to minus 40 degrees F. Stable to 200
degrees F.
• 1-PART accommodates movement. Use on
all granulated membranes and details with
excessive movement.
RESTRICTIONS:
Do not apply below 30 degrees.
• Do not apply PRO PACK if rain is expected
within four hours.
• Do not use on Hypalon or smooth APP modified
bitumen membrane. For smooth APP, melt down
an overlay of granulated APP before installation.
• Must use Chem Link TPO Primer for TPO
membrane.

HOW TO CALCULATE
CHEMCURB VOLUMES
Note: These figures represent volume of
sealant needed for various sizes of curb
combinations without displacement for
penetrations. (TO estimate exact vol.
needed, also figure volume of penetrations
and subtract from volume of curbs.)
To figure volume of a square curb:
multiply length X width X depth, ("2")
then divide by 231(cu. inches in a gal.)
to get no. of gallons needed to fill curb.
Note:
(1) One gal. pourable sealer = 231 cu. in.
One 28 oz tube = 50 cu. in. 12 28 oz tubes
= 2.6 gal.
(2) Vol. 7.5" Curb: 88 cu. in
(3) Vol. 5" Curb: 39 cu. in.
Always figure 2" depth for
ChemCurbs. Less invalidates warrenty.
A Corner Curb adds two
lnches to a Stralght Curb on each end.
