Class I Floodplain Permit at 9725 W. 41st Avenue
SUBJECT:
The current FEMA FIRM map indicates all of the lot at 9725 W. 41st Avenue is in the 100 year
floodplain. A best interpretation of the flood data indicates the 100 year floodplain at the rear
of the lot is at elevation 5355. The 1979 Clear Creek Flood Study indicates that the elevation
at the proposed location of the shed is 5352. The proposed shed is less than 120 square feet
in size (112 sf) and can be permitted in accordance with the City Code (Section 26-806F.1)
even though there will be three (3) feet of water in the shed during a 100 year flood event
The property owner has submitted an anchoring system which is proposed to anchor the
shed to the ground and prevent it from floating away during a flood, as provided in Section
26-806FA. Attached please find an approved Class I Floodplain Permit conditioned on the
shed being anchored as recommended in the Tuff Shed Foundation Detail also attached.

conditions for flood plain alterations were received and submitted to FEMA for a flood insurance
map revision,
_Fill Certificate. A community official certified the elevation, compaction, slope and slope
protection for all fill placed in the flood plain consistent with NFlP regulations Part 65,5 for map
revisions.

Class I Floodplain Permit at 9725 W, 41st Avenue
SUBJECT:
The current FEMA FIRM map indicates all of the lot at 9725 W, 41st Avenue is in the 100 year
floodplain. A best interpretation of the flood data indicates the 100 year floodplain at the rear
of the lot is at elevation 5355. The 1979 Clear Creek Flood Study indicates that the elevation
at the proposed location of the shed is 5352. The proposed shed is less than 120 square feet
in size (112 sf) and can be permitted in accordance with the City Code (Section 26-806F.1)
even though there will be three (3) feet of water in the shed during a 100 year flood event
The property owner must submit sufficient information to show how the shed will be anchored
to prevent it from floating away during a flood. Once the additional information is provided,
the processing of the permit can be completed,
