In doing this, I called the city and had a few questions on the form, to which they advised that the contractor from Jordan's should be submitting the permit. So my question #' # I move4 a # with .# from # M« to come out # size the requirements for my windows now, and request that they pull the permit and request the RES�Check? Next, I would expect that a rep from the city would need to come out and inspect my house and review the project after the pennit information hbeen processed? If the only work to be performed is the installation of windows, then a singular permit for that installation may be obtained. The only way that a singular permit for installation of only windows can be obtained is if the windows comply with the .34 U -factor requirement. If the windows have not yet been manufactured the folks from Jordan's should be able to address the U -factor issue and create windows that meet the .34 U -factor requirement making the RES -check unnecessary. That said, if they cannot manufacture the windows to meet the U -factor requirement of the code, then the other work that you proposed, such as installation of additional insulation in the attic, and anything else necessary to achieve compliance as indicated in the RES -check report to be submitted, should be included on the same perrnit as the windows, which should be obtained by a ass general contractor that will oversee all of the work.
