The footing was of adequate size, approximately 10 "x18 ", with a monopour foundation wall and slab -on- grade. The original function of this slab was a carport. There is no apparent cracking or heaving of the foundation, carport slab, or driveway slab abutting the addition. The foundation is adequate to bear the new bedroom live load requirements.
