Purpose: The purpose of this report is to detail my findings regarding the structural damage and its repair. Procedure: I inspected and photographed claim related conditions on 4/3/2017 1:30 pm. At the time of my inspection, Mr. Weaver's mother and the tenant, Lauren, were present. Background: The building is a backyard apartment space, located on the northwest corner of the lot. A vehicle crashed into the north wall of the building at approximately 4:30 am on the morning of April 3rd, 2017. The driver fled the scene. Findings and Discussion: The building is constructed with 8" unreinforced CMU walls, with an arched roof that includes a loft space above. Both spaces have been used as rental space. Damage was primarily limited to a portion of the north CMU wall, with damage to interior wood framed walls and areas of drywall and the wall coverings. A vehicle crashed into the north wall of the building at approximately 4:30 am on the morning of April 3rd, 2017. The driver fled the scene. Findings and Discussion: The building is constructed with 8" unreinforced CMU walls, with an arched roof that includes a loft space above. Both spaces have been used as rental space.
