Material used on the flat portion of the roof was installed per manufactures specifications.
Tri Built specs.
1. Application (A) Remove existing materials and obsolete penetrations down to an acceptable substrate, repair any voids or
imperfections in the substrate. (B) For steep -slope underlayment's, cut the 2 -square rolls of base sheet into a minimum of 3 equal
sections. (C) Unroll and allow membrane to relax in the sun for a recommended 15 minutes prior to installation in final location
2. Application (A) Measure leading edge for width of first sheet and snap straight chalk line. (B) Lay the material flat in
place, starting at the lowest point. (C) Align the membrane with chalk line at the lowest edge of the roof. (D) Install in shingle fashion
from lowest point to highest point
3.(A) Fold the aligned membrane in half, exposing the dual release film. (B) Peel release film at a 90 degree angle in a
constant motion ensuring to keep weight on the outer edges, as you progress. Position the next sheet by overlapping seams and line up
the overlap of the top sheet edge with the inside of the bottom sheet's factory selvage SEALLapTM edges. Overlap and cut end laps
minimum 6". (C) This is only one example of an application technique; contractors may develop their own methods of application.
4. Application (A) Press the membrane into place with firm, even pressure.
5. Application (A) At seam overlaps, align next sheet of application, fold sheet back and remove split release film. Remove,
from the installed roll, the protective tape, SEALLapTM and apply even pressure to the self sealing SEALLapTM area, while
overlapping the next sheet.
6. Application (A) Roll seams and edges firmly with a steel or other suitable roller to ensure full adhesion.
7. Application (A) Applications on a slope greater than 2'/z" to 12" need to be back nailed in the seams overlap with ring
shanked metal capped roofing nails, 6" o.c.
8. Application (A) After adhering each layer of rolls it is required that uniform pressure be applied to the entire sheet area by
using an 80 lb. (minimum) linoleum roller, water filled lawn roller or similar weighted roller in a method suitable to the roof slope.
Care must be taken to prevent injury when rolling membrane, especially on sloped surfaces.
9. Application (A) Details are carried out by using a hot-air welding mastic technique or TRI-BUILTO Modified Bitumen
Adhesive Trowel Grade. (B) Heat should be applied with a flame -less torch or hot-air welder. Open flame torches are not
recommended.

This letter is in regards to building permit 201707219 at the property of 4205 Newland St. The property owner
notified the Building Division on May 13th that she was emailed an inspection ticket that had a different result
than what our permit system indicated. Upon further investigation, we found that documentation provided
from your office to the homeowner revealed that one of your employees had changed a result of a failed
inspection notice that was left by our building inspector. A follow up phone call with the property owner and
yourself confirmed this to be the case. In speaking with a representative of the police department, the
alteration of a city document constitutes fraud, in which the Building Division and the City take very seriously.
Under Article IV, section 5-124 of the City of Wheat Ridge municipal code, the director of community
development has the authority to suspend or revoke a license if the licensee fails to comply with the
responsibilities of licensees as prescribed in Article IV, section 5-103.
At this time, there will be no further action taken on this matter. Please be advised that this letter will serve a
warning that if the building division finds that Colorado Superior Roofing & Construction violates the municipal
code provisions in the future, we may pursue further disciplinary action as authorized under section 5-124.

Effective December 1, 2014, asphalt shingle installations require an approved midroof
inspection, conducted when 25-75 percent of the roof covering is installed, prior to final
approval. Installation of roof sheathing (new or overlay) is required on the entire roof
when spaced or board sheathing with ANY gap exceeding one half inch exists. Sheathing and
mid -roofs may be called in at the same time, one hundred percent of the sheathing must be
complete and 25-75 percent of the mid -roof may be complete. Asphalt shingles are required
to be fastened to the roof deck with a minimum of 6 nails per shingle. Ice and water shield
is required. Eave and rake metal is required. A ladder extending 3 feet above the roof eave
and secured in place is required to be provided for all roof inspections. Roof ventilation
is required to comply with applicable codes and/or manufacturer installation instructions,
whichever is more stringent. In order to pass a final inspection of elastomeric or similar
type roof coverings, a letter of inspection and approval from the manufacturer technical
representative stating that "the application of the roof at (project address) has been
applied in accordance with the installation instruction for (roof material brand name)
roof covering" is required to be on site at the time of final inspection.
Midroof & Final Roof inspections for ROOFS OVER 6/12 PITCH: 3rd party inspection will be
required, the 3rd party inspection report AND THE ORIGINAL PERMIT CARD needs to be dropped
off to the Permit Desk at the City of Wheat Ridge. The report MUST BE SIGNED by the
Homeowner.

Regardless of the amount written above, this contract is for the FULL SCOPE OF INSURANCE PROCEEDS FOR THE WORK ACTUALLY PERFORMED by Colorado Superior Roofing
& Construction, Inc. ("CSR&C) and includes items related to such work like dump fees and material taxes. Neither you nor CSR&C is obligated hereunder unless your
insurance company approves the work at a price acceptable to CSR&C. By signing this contract, you authorize CSR&C to pursue all repairs at a price agreeable to the insurance
company and CSR&C at NO COST TO YOL) EXCEPT FOR THE INSURANCE DEDUCTIBLE (subject to the paragraph below). The final price agreed to by the insurance company
(including any supplements and overhead and profit related to work performed by CSR&C) will become the final contract price.
PLEASE NOTE: If you have an ACV policy or do not have code upgrade, then you may be responsible for paying out of pocket for certain items like replacement of decking,
fascia boards, soffits, or other items. Also be aware that if you have non-recoverable depreciation in your insurance scope you will be responsible for paying that amount

This application is exclusively for new permits for residential roofs and for licensed
contractors only. This type of permit is ONLY being processed online --do not come
to City Hall to submit an application in person. Permits are processed and issued in
the order they are received and due to the volume of requests, time to process
varies and is subject to change. YOU WILL BE CONTACTED WHEN YOUR
PERMIT IS READY FOR PICK-UP AND WILL BE GIVEN A SPECIFIC DATE

person at City Hall. The Building Division will be open from 7:30-10:30 a.m.,
Monday through Friday to process these types of requests.
