Centennial, CO 80161 7_0t4t D t i/3 Re: Wood Pergola Installation at 3200 Balsam St. Denver, Colorado Mr. Ambler, On July 24th, 2020, Randy Eckhart of Structel Consultants observed the completed pergola framing/installation at the above-mentioned address. The concrete caissons for the support posts were noted as being completed by a previous contractor prior to the TMD taking over the project. The caissons appeared to be completed satisfactory and are approved at this time. The post bases were properly secured and all structural members/beams and connections were completed as specified in the provided customer drawings. Additional lateral bracing has been installed which was not detailed in these drawings. Overall, all pergola framing and connections were observed and approved as well. The full exterior sheathing was also observed at this time. All sheathing nailing in the field and along the edges as well as the portal frame required pattern was found to be in accordance with project specifications and code requirements. The hold-down installations were observed and approved as well. At this time, we approve the completed sheathing installation as well as adherence to our portal frame details. REGARDING ROOF VENTILATION: Roof ventilation shall comply with Building Division Policy BD -18-001 for Balanced Ventilation Systems, or manufacturer installation instructions, whichever is more stringent. MIDROOF & SHEATHING: Effective December 1, 2014, asphalt shingle installations require an approved mid -roof inspection, conducted when 25-750 of the roof covering is installed, prior to final approval. Installation of roof sheathing (new or overlay) is required on the entire roof when spaced or board sheathing with ANY gap exceeding one half inch exists. Sheathing and mid -roofs may be called in at the same time, one hundred percent of the sheathing must be complete and 25-75% of the mid -roof may be complete.
