CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE, COLORADO
MARCH 2, 1992
The City Council Meeting was called to urder by the Mayor at 7 30 p m
Councilmembers present Elise Brougham, Kent Davis, Don Eafanti, Phil
Edwards, Vance Edwards, Tony FIasco, and Ron Selstad Also present
City Clerk, Wanda Sang, City Attorney, John Hayes, City Treasurer, Jim
Malone, Director of Planning, Glen Gidley, Director of Parks, Gary
Wardle, staff, and interested citizens Bill Shanley was absent
Mayor asked for concensus to allow questions from the aUrlience,
consensus was 4 in favor

Discussion of 38th Avenue Beautification.
Gary Wardle updated the City Council on the installation of planters on
38th Avenue - 10 sites between Pierce and Wadsworth Consensus was 7 in
favor to delete the storage shed and golf cart and to use the $4,700 for
additional planters, also, to enlarge some of the planters to
accommodate trees
Mayor Winger asked fur consensus to hold a study session on March 16 to
discuss the swimming pool feasibility study No consensus was reached
Tony FIasco askej for a consensus that Gary Wardle bring in a request
for appropriation to hire a consultant regarding the swimming pool
feasibility, either on March 9th or 23rd Consensus was 7 in favor

Division of Local Government
Glen Gidley and Geoffrey ~ithers, Community Development Specialist with
the Colorado Division of Local Government, gave a brief presentation on
"Techniques for Local Government Economic Develupment Assistance to
Businesses II
Vance Edwards asked for a consensus to re-evaluate the revolving loan
fund program for local businesses Consensus was 5 in favor

Glen Gidley len discussiun regarding sideyard setbacks ani garages
within the various residential zone districts
Vance ~dwarjs asked for a consensus tu a~prove the amenjments to the
Zoning Ordinance regarding sideyar1 setbacks and garages effecting R-18,
R-1C, R-3 and R-3A Consensus was not to approve the amendments
Mr SeIstad asked for a consensus that the amendments to the Zoning
Ordinance be approve1 only for the R-1C District Consensus was 4 in
favor
John Bayes asked for' a consensus to correct the r;ode
that the rear yard setbacks in the resirlential ZOnes
not 5 feet, per the Grdinance, adopted June 12, 1989
