The house was constructed approximately in the 1960's -70's. The dividing walls and ceilings are textured drywall. Floors are wood and ceramic tile with sheet vinyl. SCOPE FOE WORK • Perform visual, tactile inspection of suspect ACM. • Identify, locate and areas to be sampled or presumed ACM • Collect samples of friable and non -friable ACM and presumed ACM • Provide sample analysis by polarized light microscopy • Provide project report with laboratory results and conclusions SECTION 2 INSPECTION METHODOLOGY: The asbestos inspection was conducted in general accordance with the guidelines of the National Emissions Standards Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAPS) 40 CFR Part 61 and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) Regulation 8. The construction specific asbestos survey was performed by collecting samples from suspect asbestos containing material (ACM) in areas designated by the client that will be impacted by this project. This survey was conducted in general accordance with EPA National Emissions Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAPS) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's (OSHA) regulation 29 CFR 1926.1101. The inspection included a physical assessment of suspect ACM materials. Identification of homogeneous areas; assessment of the condition of the areas sampled; and collection of samples for laboratory analysis. Building materials that contain trace (less than 1%) asbestos are not regulated by the State of Colorado or the US EPA. OSHA regulations for worker protection do apply to trace asbestos containing materials and appropriate measures should be used during demolition activities.
