This change will not require me to change any structure since there is a full length header already in place that is structurally sound. I will be saw cutting some exterior brick veneer that is not structural to get the slider to sit level with floor of living/dining room. Finally on the main floor I will be removing a couple of walls in the bedroom wing of the house. I am going to remove the current walls of the closet in the master bedroom and replace it with a built in later during finishes. Also, I am going to take down 3 non load bearing walls and add a non load bearing wall to create a bigger master bathroom, a separate walk-in closet and I will be moving the guest bathroom closer to the guest bedroom on the main level. I plan to use the current plumbing of the guest bathroom and just adjusting it by turning the angle towards that bathroom and extending the water and drain lines to meet the new locations of the fixtures. No structure will be affected, only minor moving of the plumbing for the guest bedroom. In the basement, I will be removing one small non structural wall and adding a longer non structural wall to increase the size of the laundry room. The washer and dryer will stay where they are located but I am going to add a sink in the laundry room that will tie into the drain of the washer, and water lines will split off of the washer to the sink as well. On the exterior, I only plan to replace the siding on the front to LP smart side Panel siding. There is roughly only 200 sq ft of siding that needs replaced. The Certified General Abatement Contractor (CGAC) performed the removal and disposal of the asbestos -containing material (ACM). Following the removal of ACM within the contained work area, BuildSafe's Air Monitoring Specialist (AMS) conducted a final visual inspection and performed FAC procedures according to CDPHE Reg. No. 8. Part B. If successful, these activities show that the air within the work area is below the Maximum Allowable Asbestos Level (MAAL) of 0.01 fibers/cc and acceptable for re -occupancy. Final clearance air sampling was performed and samples were analyzed by a successful AIHA participating member (see Air Sample Log). Five (5) air samples were collected using high volume pumps. Sample collection draws a calibrated amount of air through 25mm mixed cellulose ester membrane (Millipore 0.8 MCEF) filters, which are housed in three-piece cassettes, equipped with 50mm electrically -conductive extension cowls. Samples were collected with variable volume pumps. Flow rates were established and checked with a calibrated flow meter. Clearance samples were analyzed for airborne fibers by Phase Contrast Microscopy (PCM) per NIOSH Method 7400 using a positive phase -contrast microscope equipped with a Walton -Beckett graticule (Type G-22 for 'A counting rules). A quarter -wedge was cut from each sample filter and was examined at a magnification of 400x. Fibers greater than 5 microns in length with a length -to -width (aspect) ratio equal to or greater than 3:1 were counted. Total fiber counts for each sample filter were divided by their respective sample volumes. DENVER DO 80209 WWW.BuILDSAFEENVIRO.COM Phase Contrast Microscopy (PCM) is not asbestos -specific; rather, it counts Total Fibers, showing worst-case situation because all fibers are counted (carpet, cloth, hair, paper, asbestos, etc). In order to pass PCM air sample analysis, microscopic analysis results from the area sampled during the FAC testing must have fiber counts at or below the MARL, which is the limit the EPA and the CDPHE requires all samples to be equal to, or less than, prior to releasing an area to the public. Based on visual observations, documentation review and air sample results, it is the opinion of BuildSafe that the air quality within the work area was in compliance with regulatory and industry standards at the time of this sampling inspection. A quarter -wedge was cut from each sample filter and was examined at a magnification of 400x. Fibers greater than 5 microns in length with a length -to -width (aspect) ratio equal to or greater than 3:1 were counted.
