In order to pass a final inspection of elastomeric or similar type roof coverings, a letter of inspection and approval from the manufacturer technical representative stating that "the application of the roof at (project address) has been applied in accordance with the installation instruction for (roof material brand name) roof covering" is required to be on site at the time of final inspection. After speaking with John and reviewing the photographs, John stated that there should be no problem installing garage doors on the structure. The owners may need to add additional collar ties for the install of the garage door mounting system (based on manufacturer specifications), but everything looked structurally sound. The owners told me that they were informed when they bought the property that they could not add garage doors to the structure due to either how it was built or its condition. I am just curious if the structure would be able to maintain some sort of non-traditional doors on it? The owners are Jerry and Suzanne Payne 303-445-9609. They are very nice and said they would appreciate any input from your department on the matter.
