On January 25, 1995 I inspected your property at the above address to
ascertain wether the proposed addition of a bedroom above the garage can
be accomplished without undue problems.
2 understand you plan to add four feet to the existing deck walls,a cathedral
ceiling consisting of 2 X 10 rafters with sheetrock and h" plywood with a
shake roof. I have calcul:ated the additional load to the soil fron the 8"
foundation walls, realizing that the snow load on the existing structure
is approximately the same. The wall load is less than 700#/lineal foot
which creates a load on the soil of less than 1000#/square foot on the
soil. This is quite acceptable for the soil as I observed it and per
the general reports in that area.
There should be no problems with the addition as you describecl it. Please ;
allow me to review your final plans to be sure the agree with my nnderstanding.',
