SUBJECT: TEMO 2" PATIO ENCLOSURE SYSTEM
The Temo 2" wall system may be installed on existing concrete slab or deck
providing concrete siab is at least 3.5" thick and deck is built to local code requirements.
The intent of use for the 2" wall system is to be used for outdoor recreational use only,
and must be separated by an exterior door leading to the attached structure.
Safety glazing shall be installed as required by UBC section 5406. All windows must
be readily removable without inserting or removing screws, bolts or other connectors
which require the use of tools or special lrnowledge. Screen rooms to have full screens
that are also readily removable. Wail height must be a minunum of 6'-8" measured from
the floor.
Exclusions
If the TEMO 3" Insulated glass wall is used or the structure is being used as a yeaz
azound habitable room and not as an "E'nclosed Patio" a footing or foundation per
local code agency is recommended.
SPECIAL NOTE
Local building deparhnent should verify that project is submitted with a TEMO
engineering packet and that no other buiiding products can be subsrituted under
this approval.

il. Uescription: A. GeneraL• The Temo, Inc., T-21-3-32 panels are used
.as structural roof panels for patio covers conforming to DivGSion 111
ot U.B.C. Appendix Chapter 31. The panels are factory-assembled und-
wich panels consisting of aluminum skins and an expanded polyslyrene
toam plastic core. The panels are 3 inches (76 mm) thick and 48 inches
(1219 mm) wide and have a mapmum length of 19 teet (5791 mm). Lon-
gitudinal panei edges are connected to adjacent panels in accordance with
Figure 1.
B. Materials: t. floot Panels: a. Core: Core materiai is Falcon Manufao-
turing of Michigan, Inc., Type IX expanded polystyrene foam piastic
boards as recognized in Evaluation Report ER-4059. The foam plastic has
a 2.0 pcf (32 kg/m3) nominal density, a flame-spread rating of 25 or less
and a smoke-densiry rating of 450 or less when tested In accordance wiUi
U.B.C. Standard 8-1.
b. facings: The faang material on 6oth sides of the panels is
0.0324nch-thick (0.81 mm) aluminum with an alloy of 3105-H14 con-
fortninp to ASTM B 209.
a Adhesive: The facings are factory-adhered ta the core with the Ash-
tand Chemical Company Isogrip 3030 D poiyurethane adhesive recog-
nized in Evaluation fleport ER-5137.
2 Cleats: The cleats used to interconned the panels along ffieir longi-
tudinal edges are e#ruded aluminum allay 6063 T5 comptying with ASTM
B 221, with the dimensions as showa:
C. Installatlon: The panels must he instalied cotdinuousty In the drec-
tion of the roof siope behveen !ow and high points, with no Uansverse
jofnts. Panel supports must provide a minimum 2718-inch-wide cor(ino-
ous bearing width at support points for grzviry and wind upfift loads. For
other methods of panel support, the eitects of the support on the pand
performance must be substantiated to the satisfaction of the buildinp offi-
dal. Connectfon of the paneis to the structure must be suhshentiated to
the saUsfadion of the 6uildinp offiaal.
