Effective December 1, 2014, asphalt shingle installations require an approved midroof
inspection, conducted when 25-75 percent of the roof covering is installed, prior to final
approval. Installation of roof sheathing (new or overlay) is required on the entire roof
when spaced or board sheathing with ANY gap exceeding one half inch exists. Sheathing and
mid -roofs may be called in at the same time, one hundred percent of the sheathing must be
complete and 25-75 percent of the mid -roof may be complete. Asphalt shingles are required
to be fastened to the roof deck with a minimum of 6 nails per shingle. Ice and water shield
is required. Eave and rake metal is required. A ladder extending 3 feet above the roof eave
and secured in place is required to be provided for all roof inspections. Roof ventilation
is required to comply with applicable codes and/or manufacturer installation instructions,
whichever is more stringent. In order to pass a final inspection of elastomeric or similar
type roof coverings, a letter of inspection and approval from the manufacturer technical
representative stating that "the application of the roof at (project address) has been
applied in accordance with the installation instruction for (roof material brand name)
roof covering" is required to be on site at the time of final inspection.
Roof inspections for ROOFS OVER 6/12 PITCH: 3rd party inspection will be required, the 3rd
party inspection report will be collected at final roof inspection performed by City of
Wheat Ridge. If report is not available the final inspection will not be completed.

2. This. permit shall expire 365 days after the date of issuance regardless of activity. Requests for extension must be made in writing and

TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. Your Project Manager will be assigned once RBS is contracted. The Project Manager may or may not be your sales
representative.
2. Please notify your Project Manager as soon as possible if the colors of materials are not what you ordered. If you do not notify your
Project Manager otherwise within 24 hours of the delivery of materials, we will assume you agree to the color.
3. Rastra Building Solutions "RBS" will notify and set up appointments with local inspection authorities when the project is finished to
our standards.
4. Prepare yourself for lots of noise, as the repair and/or replacement of a roof is a loud business. As jobs can take a day or more to
complete, consider planning a day out with your family while it's being done.
5. Please be aware of your children and pets and keep them away from the work area, as RBS cannot be held responsible for
possible injuries due to debris. Please consider bringing outside pets and children in for the duration of the project, or boarding them.
6. Please secure loose items on walls and wall -hanging shelves so they do not fall or become damaged. RBS is not
responsible for fallen or damaged items.
7. RBS has a lot of respect for gardens and plants, and will therefore do our best to protect them from debris and/or bundles
of shingles. However, if there is something outside you are particularly fond of, please bring it inside to insure its safety. Unfortunately,
RBS cannot be held responsible for damaged foliage.
8. It is possible that dust will fall on items stored in the attic during the roofing project. As this is fairly predictable, RBS will not
be responsible for excessive dust on items in the attic.
9. We will probably use power tools at some point during the project, as such, please advise your Project Manager where to find the
best access to power on your property. RBS always tries not to trip breakers, and won't be held responsible for tripped
breakers, but it's always good to check on them after the project is done.
10. Minor paint or gutter scratches may occur in the process of the roofing project. We hold our crews to a high standard, but in the
case that this happens, RBS will not be held responsible for paint touch-up.
11. RBS reserves the right to delay working on your project in the event of inclement weather, as this can lead to unsafe
working conditions for our crews and a higher possibility of substandard work.
12. Please check all heater vent pipes, water heaters, microwave vent pipes, and stove vent pipes, as well as adequate carbon
monoxide detectors upon completion of the roofing project. The homeowner is responsible for ensuring the safety of his/her home.
13. Upon completion of the roofing project, your Project Manager or roofing crew will pick up loose and/or stray nails with a nail roller
magnet; however, some may remain hidden in shrubbery. Please use caution when walking outside without shoes.
14. Please be aware that in older homes and/or homes with hasty construction, removal of the roof may result in movement in the
rafters or beams, which may cause small cracks in the interior. This is due to the removal of a huge amount of weight from the frame of
the house, and RBS cannot be held responsible.
15. Because RBS cannot determine ahead of time whether the driveway is properly reinforced, we cannot be held
responsible for damage occurring due to under -reinforcement.
16. Please be aware that satellite dishes and other equipment on the roof are the homeowner's responsibility to re tune. If you are
paying through insurance, your insurance company will pay to physically remove and reset the equipment, but may not re tune them.
17. Please make all payments payable to RBS.
18. Insurance Claims -- Please pay the amount of your ACV check before or when materials are delivered. If your insurance company
does not make an ACV check available, please pay in full when the project is completed.
19. Non -Recoverable Depreciation -- This is the second check your insurance company will send you, and you will pay the remaining
depreciation value on the roof to RBS, along with the cost of any optional upgrades not covered by code upgrade coverage.
Failure to fulfill payment obligations may make RBS warranties null and void, and may result in a lien being placed on your
property.
20. You will receive a customer satisfaction survey during the final walk through from your Project Manager. This is an optional form.
21. RBS's standard warranty guarantees your roof against leaks caused by installation error, but not against hail, wind,
material aesthetics, or acts of God. This warranty is transferable to another property owner only once.
22. SB 38 Terms & Conditions: RBS fully complies with the following statements determined by Senate Bill 38
22.1. Cancellation Policy -- If you wish to cancel your contract, you may do so without penalty within 72 hours of signing the
contract, and receive a full refund of any deposit paid.
22.2. If you plan to pay for the roofing project through an insurance claim, RBS cannot pay, waive, or rebate your
deductible in part or in whole.
22.3. RBS will hold in trust any payment from you, the property owner, until we have delivered the materials to the
jobsite.
22.4. You, the property owner, may rescind the contract for services, the payment for which shall be made from the proceeds
of a property insurance claim, within 72 hours of receiving notice from your insurer that the claim is denied in whole or in part.

(1) This permit was issued in accordance with the provisions set forth in yopur application and is subject to the laws of the State of Colorado and to the Zoning
Regulations and Building Code of wheat Ridge, Colorado or any other applicable ordinances of the City.
(2) This pernit shall expire if (A) the work authorized is not commenced within sixty (60) days from issue date or (B) the building authorized is suspended or
abandoned for a period of 120 days.
(3) If this permit expires, a new permit may be acquired for a fee of one-half the amount normally required, provided no changes have been or will be made in the
original plans and specifications and any suspension or abandonment has not exceeded one (1) year. If changes are made or if suspension or abandonment
exceeds one (1) year, full fees shall be paid for a new permit.
(4) No work of any manner shall be done that will change the natural flow of water causing a drainage problem.
(5) Contractor shall notify the Building Inspector twenty-four (24) hours in advance for all inspections and shall receive written approval on inspection card before
proceediing with successive phases of the 7job.
(6) The issuance of a permit or the approval of drawings and specifications shall not be construed to be a permit for, nor an approval of, any violation of the provisions
of the building codes or any other ordinance, law, rule or regulation.
