I have reviewed the plan submittal for the tenant finish being conducted on Units # 101
103, at 5181 Ward Road and 5191 Ward Road, Unit # 4. The Fairmount Fire Protection
District will be the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHn on this project. The plans submitted
have been reviewed using the 2003 International Fire Code, NFPA, and other nationally
recognized standards.
The following requirements shall be met prior to finai inspection from the fire department
1. Iiluminated exit signs, with an emergency power supply shall be installed.
2. Illuminated emergency lighting, with an emergency power supplY shall be installed.
3. A minimum of two (2) fve extinguishers shall be provided, with a minimum rating
of 2A-I0BC. The distance betw+een fire extinguishers shall not exceed 75 feet.
4. A"THIS DOOR To REMAIN UNLOCKED DURING BUSINESS HOURS" shall
be permaaently installed above the exit(s).

shall be a minimum of 5" in height with a minimum stroke width of 0.5 inch and
contrast with their background.
6. Electrical, mechanical> boiler rooms, and fire protection equipment rooms shall be
permanently identified.
7. Modifications to the curTent Fire Alarm system must insure that changes reflect
current ADA requirements.
8. A key box shall be installed in an approved location. A master key shall be provided
to the fire department az final inspedion to be placed in this secured ~aje °X•
9. If the occupancy has a Fire Alarm and F've Suppression system, sep Pertnits are
required. These permits must be obtained from the fire department, as well as
through the city building department.

advance, at (303) 279-2928, ext. 103. It is the responsibility of all sub-contractors to
