The Colorado Structural Consultants engineer has reviewed the site above, on
April l4ne 2022, to check on the roof of the main residence and the garage. The
fallowing structural repairs have been done:
• Two Y." steel plates were bolted on each side of the connection between the old
roof rafter and the added roof rafter.
• Simpson hanger LRU26Z and the Hurricane ties H2.5A were installed.
• The Post under the middle Garage beam was installed.
• Each rafter is nailed to the "Collar Tie) or ceilingjoist plus attached to the Humcan
Simpson Hanger the whole attached and sitting on top of the sealing board. The
bearing system satisfies the IRC 2018 Sect. 802.6. The roof framing is very low,
the ceiling framing plays also the role of the collar ties which satisfies the IRC
2018 Sect.802.4.6.

We receqtly purchased Permit #071008 on behaif of I,anry and Kazen Price at 2685 Quay
Street in Wheat Ridge. Subsequent to this purchase, Mr. Price called to cancel the job
because his financing had fallen through. Therefore, we are not going to proceed with
this job and are requesting a refund of the Roofing Permit fee of $400.76. I realize tbat a
portion of the £ee may have to be retained to offset clerical expenses.
