The fallowing structural repairs have been done: • Two Y." steel plates were bolted on each side of the connection between the old roof rafter and the added roof rafter. • Simpson hanger LRU26Z and the Hurricane ties H2.5A were installed. • The Post under the middle Garage beam was installed. • Each rafter is nailed to the "Collar Tie) or ceilingjoist plus attached to the Humcan Simpson Hanger the whole attached and sitting on top of the sealing board. The bearing system satisfies the IRC 2018 Sect. 802.6. The roof framing is very low, the ceiling framing plays also the role of the collar ties which satisfies the IRC 2018 Sect.802.4.6.
