Portal Frame Hold-downs
At the request of the contractor DL Engineering has assessed the capacity of the installed HTT4 hold
downs at the portal frame of the new garage. DL Engineering is not responsible for the design of this
structure and is only responsible for the assessment of the HTT4 hold downs. Below is a summary of our
assessment.
• HTT4 Hold Downs —The installed HTT4 hold downs provide the anchor bolts required by the IRC
as well as additional tension capacity. The HTT4 hold down has sufficient capacity to support the
required loads of the standard IRC portal frame.

Foundation Observation: Detached Garage
Please provide this letter as proof of the following onsite observation on August 10, 2020. DL
Engineering is not responsible for the design of this structure and has only observed the as -built
condition. Below is a summary of the observations made:
• UFER — A #4 bar extended out of the foundation for electrical grounding purposes, this rebar
was tied to the lowest piece of horizontal rebar. This was located on the east wall toward the
south end.
• Monolithic footing — There were two #4 rebar in the edge beam of the slab. (1) top and (1)
bottom. They were lapped where they were not continuous. The turned -down edge was a
minimum of 12" wide and 18" below grade.
• Slab reinforcement ^#3 rebar were installed at 3' on center in each direction in the slab.

capacity of Contractor and Not Adjuster. If our insurance company approves the claim and authorizes repairs then, I/We hereby assign to
Infinity Restoration, any and all proceeds of my/our insurance benefits to secure payment of its services provided under this contract and I

insurance deductible paid by the Homeowner directly to Infinity, and increased or decreased by any Supplements authorized by the
insurance company and/or upgrades or downgrades authorized by the Homeowner (this includes all overhead and profit paid). First
payment is due upon delivery of materials and commencement of work.
I/We agree that any information that is received from the insurance company will be delivered immediately to Infinity Restoration and that
any payments received from the insurance company shall be endorsed and delivered to Infinity Restoration.
If this contract is cancelled more than three days from the date of this Agreement and a full roof replacement is secured and ready to roof,
then Uwe agree to pay Infinity Restoration a contract cancellation and administrative fee amount equal to 15% of this contract.
