Colorado 80214 (Schafer Project Number 14097.1)
Schafer Environmental Consulting, Inc. (Schafer) performed air sampling services
following asbestos abatement activities on behalf of Asbestos Abatement, Inc. at 2707
Sheridan Avenue in Wheat Ridge, Colorado 80214 (prqject site) on May 19, 2014,
Services were perfortried by a Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment
(CDPHE) certified Air Monitoring Specialist (AMS). Certifications are attached to this
summary report.
On May 19, 2014 Schafer performed the air sampling services at the project site
following the removal of approximately 500 square feet of Drywall. The final visual
inspection of the work area performed following abatement activities was found to be
sufficiently cleaned of dust and debris for clearance criteria in accordance with applicable
regulations.
Following successful completion of visual inspections, Schafer collected Phase Contrast
Microscopy (PCM) air sampling in accordance with applicable regulation and NIOSH
Method requirements.
Asbestos Abatement Inc. was notified that the area passed final clearance air sampling
upon review of the PCM laboratory data and comparison to the Environmental Protection
Agency (EPA) and CDPHE standard of 0.01 Fibers per cubic centimeter (F/cc) required
for re -occupancy of an asbestos regulated area. Air sampling results were found to be
below 0.01 F/cc. The air sampling and analysis report. is also attached to this summary.
The collection and analysis PCM air samples were performed by Schafer in accordance
with applicable regulations and industry standards. Schafer is a CDPHE registered
Asbestos Consulting Firm and an Asbestos Laboratory (Registration No. AL -15623).
Schafer is also a proficient participating laboratory in the American Industrial Hygiene
Association (AlHA) Proficiency Analytical Testing (PAT) program for asbestos PCM
analysis (Laboratory ID: 196128).
