A Permit was obtained from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE). An asbestos permit was also obtained from the City of Wheatridge. Work involved the removal of drywall walls from the kitchen and one bathroom. Work was completed in a containment with engineering Controls to include: negative pressure, wetting material utilizing amended water applied via and airless sprayer, double bagging of waste, transportation and disposal of asbestos materials as required. The contained area was cleaned following removal of materials utilizing HEPA vacuums and wet wiping techniques to an acceptable visual clearance standard. All personnel sampling and area sampling was within acceptable limits. Wheat Ridge C O, 80033 3.0 Analytical Procedures Twenty (20) bulk samples were collected in accordance with CDPHE Regulation 8, Part B. The bulk samples collected were delivered to Reservoirs Environmental, Inc. a National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP) asbestos laboratory located in Denver, Colorado. All bulk samples are held for two -months. The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and the State of Colorado Air Quality Control Commission considers a material as asbestos containing if the reported amount of asbestos is greater than one -percent. According to the analytical report, the bulk samples collected of suspect ACM, listed below, were reported as asbestos containing material. The quantity of asbestos containing materials in this Single Family Residential Dwelling exceeds the trigger levels. Each sample was collected randomly.
