BASED ON THE INFORMATION PROVIDED, THE STRUCTURE IS CONVENTIONALLY FRAMED WITH 2x6 RAFTERS AT 24" ON CENTER AND NO STRUCTURAL DEFICIENCIES WERE OBSERVED. LIVE LOAD IS PERMITTED TO BE OFFSET BY THE DEADLOAD OF SOLAR PER IBC SECTION 1607.12.5.1. THE ADDITION OF SOLAR PANELS THAT DO NOT PROTRUDE ABOVE THE EXISTING ROOFLINE DOES NOT INCREASE THE WIND LOADING ON THE STRUCTURE. THIS ANALYSIS INCLUDED A SEISMIC ANALYSIS TO ENSURE THAT THE ADDITIONAL DEAD LOAD DOESN'T OVERSTRESS ANY EXISTING LATERAL LOAD RESISTING ELEMENTS AS WELL, ALTHOUGH WIND LOADING PREDOMINANTLY CONTROLS THE DESIGN OF THIS STRUCTURE. IN SUMMARY, THIS STRUCTURE IS ADEQUATE FOR THE PROPOSED SOLAR ADDITION, DOES NOT REQUIRE RETROFIT, AND MEETS ALL CURRENT APPLICABLE CODE REQUIREMENTS. city of wr eat Ridge g ifding owwon 7of7 7/2/2019 4:25 PM ©McPherson Engineering tntertek Total Quality. UL 1741, UL 1741 CRD for rapid shutdown The evaluation was done on the PV Rapid Shutdown System (PVRSS), and covers installations consisting of optimizers and inverters with part numbers listed below. The testing done has verified that controlled conductors are limited to: Not more than 30 volts and 240 voltamperes within 30 seconds of rapid shutdown initiation outside the array. Not more than 80 volts and 240 voltamperes within 30 seconds of rapid shutdown initiation inside the array. The rapid shutdown initiation is performed by either disconnecting the AC feed to the inverter, or — if the inverter DC Safety switch is readily accessible — by turning off the DC Safety switch. Applicable products: • Power optimizers: o PB followed by 001 to 350; followed by -AOB or -TFI. OP followed by 001 to 500; followed by -LV, -MV, -IV or -EV. P followed by 001 to 850. SP followed by 001 to 350. *When optimizers are connected to 2 or more modules in series, the max input voltage may exceed 80V. Following the implementation of the NEC 2017 rapid shutdown value of 80V max inside of the array at the beginning of 2019 , modules exceeding this combined input max voltage will be required to use optimizers with parallel inputs. qr h • 1 -ph Inverters: 4/04 This information is for the exclusive use of Intertek's Client and is provided pursuant to the agreement between Intertel and is Client. INSTALL FLASHKIT PRO FLASHING PRE -INSTALL INSTALL L -FOOT • Locate roof rafters and snap chalk lines to mark the installation point for each roof attachment. • Drill a 1/32 pilot hole at each roof attachment. Fill each pilot hole with sealant. STEP 1 INSTALL FLASHKIT PRO FLASHING Add a U-shaped bead of roof sealant to the underside of the flashing with the open side of the U pointing down the roof slope. Slide the aluminum flashing underneath the row of shingles directly up slope from the pilot hole as shown. Align the indicator marks on the lower end of the flashing with the chalk lines on the roof to center the raised hole in the flashing over the pilot hole in the roof. When installed correctly. the flashing will extend under the two courses of shingles above the pilot hole. STEP 2 INSTALL L -FOOT • Fasten L -foot and Flashing into place by passing the included lag bolt and pre-installed stainless steel -backed EPDM washer through the L -foot EPDM grommet, and the raised hole in the flashing, into the pilot hole in the roof rafter. ATTACH L-FOOTTO RAIL - Drive the lag bolt down until the L -foot is held firmly in place. It is normal for the EPDM on the underside of the stainless steel backed EPDM washer to compress and expand beyond the outside edge of the steel washer when the proper torque is applied. TIP: • Use caution to avoid over-torqueingthe lag bolt if using an impact driver. • Repeat Steps 1 and 2 at each roof attachment point. STEP 3 ATTACH L-FOOTTO RAIL • Insert the included 3/8"-lG T -bolts into the lower slot on the Rail (sold separately), spacing the bolts to match the spacing between the roof attachments. • Position the Rail against the L -Foot and insert the threaded end of the T -Bolt through the continuous slot in the L -foot. Apply anti -seize to bolt threads to prevent galling of the T -bolt and included 3/8" serrated flange nut. Place the 3/8' flange nut on the T -bolt and finger tighten. Repeat STEP 3 until all L -Feet are secured to the Rail with a T -bolt. Adjust the level and height of the Rail and torque each bolt to 30ft-lbs. 0 A G r00`a Jy,Oa IMPIFTF ROOF ATTACHMENT SOLUTION FASTER INSTALLATION.
