It is unclear from the plan exactly where the shed would go, however, keep in mind that this is a planned development. Unless it is shown on the recorded development plan, it cannot be placed on the property. I would suggest that they pursue a location in the parking lot on the east side of the building which is zoned RG1. There wouldn't be any restrictions except required setbacks. The proposed location is in the parking lot on the nor[h side of the restaurant building adjacent to what appeazs to be an existing dumpster. It is unclear from the plan exactly where the shed would go, however, keep in mind that this is a planned development. Unless it is shown on the recorded development plan, it cannot be placed on the property. I would suggest that they pursue a location in the parking lot on the east side of the building which is zoned RC-1. There wouldn't be any restrictions except required setbacks. PART 3 - EXECUTION 3.01 INSPECTION OF SURFACES A. Roof Deck. Roof deck shall be smooth, dry, clean and securely nailed. Cover large cracks with metal. Properly grade surfaces to outlets. Roof accessories shall be available before Roofing Contr ctor begins work. B. Outlets. Drainage outlets shall be installed below rociT~eck surface to pQrmit free flow of water and to prevent forming water dams at rim,~ 3.02 PREPARATION A. Sheet Metal Work. All metal flashings shall be factory primed or lightly primed wi[h asphalt primer and allowed to dry before roofing mate rials are applied. B. Cants. Nail cants on top and bottom 16' o.c. Cants shall fit flush at ends and to vertical surfaces. Where scuppers occur, apply cant 2" back from flange and bevel cant 8" from ends. 3.03 APPLICATION A.Outlets. Install base ply, trimmed even with drain flange. Follow with a torch applied, approximately 40" x 40' collar of FLINTLASTIC STA extending into, and fully adhered ro, drain flange and interior surface. Install FLINTLASTIC GTA, fully adhered to base ply, flashing collar anc extending into drain. Install clamp ring and tighten while membrane is still hot. GS recommends the use of a minimum 30' square, 41b. lead or 16 oz. soft copper flashing installed between the flashing collar and field membrane. FLINTLASTIC STA flashing collar shall extend 4" beyond lead or copper flashing. B. Valleys. Torch apply one ply of FLINTLASTIC GTA over the base ply, centered in the valley, lapping 6° on ends. Field membrane courses shall overlap the valley sheet a minimum of 6'. Valleys shall have positive drainage. C. Pipe Fiashing. Where projections extend through the roof surface, install a collar of FLINTLASTIC STA over the base ply to extend a mini- mum of 4' beyond flanges. Install metal flashing with a minimum 4' wide continuous flange on top of the FLINTLASTIC STA collar. (For nail- able surfaces, flange must be nailed 3' o.c. 3/4" from perimeter.) Field membrane shall be fully adhered to the FLINTLASTIC STA collar and metal flange. Seal flashing by trowelling a bead of inelted modified bitumen at membrane termination to the metal flashing. (Not suitable for hot pipe projections.) D. Roofing Membrene. Apply one ply of GLASBASE Base Sheet lapping 2" on sides and 4' on ends. Attach base ply 9' o.c. at side laps an( 18' o.c. staggered in two rows 12' in from each edge with Approved Fasteners. Install base ply to provide and maintain a 6" minimum offset between side and end laps of the base ply and FLWTLASTIC GTA. Torch appry one ply of FLINTLASTIC GTA over the base ply, lapping 3" on sides and 6" on ends. All end laps shall be diagonally staggered and not less than 3' apart. Roofing System shall be applied in a continu- ous application. E. Base Flashing and Curbs. Over completed membrane at vertical surfaces, install Base Flashing consisting of one ply of FLINTLASTIC GTA/fl, torch adhered to primed concrete or masonry surfaces. Base flashing shall extend a minimum of 8' up vertical surfaces and 4" out onto field membrane. Wood surfaces shall receive one ply of base sheet extending from top of cant strip to top edge of Base Flashing prior 1 toroh application of FLINTLASTIC GTA/fl. Nail top edge of Base Flashing 9' o.c. through tin-discs. F. Final Surfacing. Refer to General Requirements Section for information on reflective, fire retardant and other surfacing. Vapor retarder should pmvide permeabiliry rating less than 0.005 perms. Vapor retarders must provide adequate adhesion properties to meet design requirements of uplift resistance for Ihe total roofing system, particulariy in the absence of inechanically fastened roof insulation. Vapor retarders should be tully sealed at side and end laps, securery flashed to roof top penetretions, and folded on top of roof insu- lation a minimum of 6' at perimeter edges. The designer should consWt with FM and UL for fire resistance and wind uplift ratings. GS Rooting is not responsible for damage to or failure ot the roofing system caused by Ihe use or absence ot a vapor retartler. NOTE: Lightweight insulating concrete or gyp- sum fills, wood decks, and pressurized plenums shall require Ihe installation of vapor retarder. 4.7 Preaeurized Plenums: When design includes pressurized ceiling plenums, a vapor retarder shall be required to prevent reverse ventilation Ihrough a vented substrate into the roof system. 4.8 Base Ply Applicallon: The base ply of selected GS Roofing roof systems shall be instalietl over insulated assemblies in accordance with these guidelines: Foam, Urethane and Isocyanurete Roof Insulation require a divorcing layer of rock wool, wood fiber, perlite or fiberglass roof insulation prior ro application of base ply. Rock wool, mineral wool, wood fiber or fiber- glass base ply ot selected system shall be set in a solitl mopping of asphalc Fiberglass insu- lation joints should be taped with a 6' wide strip of fiberglass tape set in asphalt prior to appli- cation of base pry. Expanded-Extruded Polysryrene requires a divorcing layer of wood fiber or perlite root insulation with all joints taped prior to applica- tion of roof sys[em. Base ply shall be set in a solid mopping of asphalt to the oveday.
