The purpose of our visit was to observe and evaluate the footings prior to placement of the concrete. This review noted that the footing has been constructed within substantial conformance to the approved plans and specifications and the applicable workmanship provisions of the International Residential Cade. The purpose of our visit was to observe and evaluate the foundation wall reinforcing steel and form work prior to placement of the concrete and the placement of an ufer ground/wncrete-encased electrode. We observed the placement of an electrode encased by at least 2" of concrete and located within and near the bottom of the concrete foundation or footing that is in direct contact with the earth consisting of at least twenty feet (20ft) of electrically conductive steel reinforcing bar that was not less than Y." in diameter. The reinforcing bars were bonded together by steel tie wires and stubbed out for conductor bonding. This review noted that the foundation wall form work was erected and the foundation wall reinforcing steel had been placed within substantial conformance to the approved plans and specifications and the applicable workmanship provisions of the International Residential Code. Additionally, this review observed that an ufer ground/wncrete-encased electrode was correctly placed within substantial conformance to NEC Article 250.52 (A)(3) (1) (2) and tied to the foundation reinforcing steel.
