Duard Boswell 3909 Simms Street Wheat Ridge, CO 80033 Dear Mr. & Mrs Boswell: Attached please find a copy of the Inspection Record for the construction of your house. Cathy Spaf£ord inspected and approved the roof on August 6, 1987. Cathy was a very conscientious inspector and knew the proper way for roofs to be installed. At the time of the inspection I believe the roof was proper. I inspected the roof, at your request on January 22, 1992. I found split and hail damaged shakes all over the entire roof. i also found a great number of shakes with staples or nails in the exposed lower portion of the shakes. The only logical explanation for this is that at sometime somebody stapled or nailed these down because the shakes were curling up. This could have been done before you moved in. I do not know that, but it is possible. The main point is, the roo£ was installed properly and it should be covered by your insurance.
