Installation of roof sheathing (new or overlay) is required on the entire roof when spaced or board sheathing with ANY gap exceeding one half inch exists. Sheathing and mid -roofs may be called in at the same time, one hundred percent of the sheathing must be complete and 25-75 percent of the mid -roof may be complete. Asphalt shingles are required to be fastened to the roof deck with a minimum of 6 nails per shingle. Ice and water shield is required. Eave and rake metal is required. Builder and owner agreed on a bathroom and walk-in closet switch, so, we have plenty of heat m the walk-in closd but none in the bathroom. • ap. No attic opening, a door in the uppa level. Builda' says, no room to wt in a doa. • 60: Roof wata dramago proble*. Wata' draining from the roof near the main entrance area causes ice m form on the steps and the entrance apron. This discrepancy is one for the record. Downspout was changed to a larger one, displacing the house number from its original place. A dam was construc[ed over the azea attached to the edge of the gutter, but no help. Ice was chipped out of the gutter, no help. One of the workmen together with the owner and neighbor observed the water flowing into the valley par[ly up the roof and appearing at different spots in the roof edge area. The workman never retusned. That did not help. I called the builder on a Sunday afternoon when the snow melted and caused the water to nm and freeze. That did not help, but, received a lecture in a very belligerent way about not calling on Simdays. However, a workman showed up on Monday> inspected the situation, talked to the owner and the neigitbor as a wihiess. He said when the sun shines he will retum and try a few things. That was fluee weeks ago, and he never returned a called. Well, you see that did not help. After seven attempts the problem is still there. . 11. Swamp cooler aai the back roof is not secure. . 12. Cancrete in the garage is shifting in the comer where the water flows from the roof. OVERALL AREA: . Ol. Ditch in the back of the house retains wata and incaeases the mosquito population.
