To test either vertical or horizontal mull covers for proper seal see Page GP-06-5,Testing ForWater Leakage. Mulling instructions call for a continuous bead of caulking to be placed beiween units which are mulled or joined at eitherthe VERTICAL or HORIZONTAL Iocations.This bead of caulking must be Wrned oulward at the unit ends so it will direct any water to the outside, and it MUST de in with the perimeter backer rod and caulking to form a w atertight system. Where non-standard mullions are u5ed, the same sealant principles must be used to ensure a watertight installation. The outside aluminum rrwllion covers are NOT water 6ght.
