Douglass, a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Colorado, do hereby certify that I have inspected the completed modular block retaining wall located at the above address. Installation of geogrid reinforcement in the wall was inspected and observed for conformance with design specifications in terms of geogrid embedment length, geogrid orientation and material type. The wall drainage system and backfill compaction was inspected and observed to be in conformance with standard specifications for this type of retaining wall. It is our my professional opinion, based on our experience with modular block wall construction methodology, that the completed wall is satisfactory in terms of structural stability for site conditions and loading. In summary, I certify that the wall was completed in compliance with the specifications. A demolition of the drywall, ceiling, and kitchen flooring required asbestos containing materials be abated by a certified General Abatement Contractor. 2.0 Visual Inspection A thorough visual inspection was performed touching areas to ensure no dust or debris was present. Some carpet pieces along with lighting fixtures had to be recleaned. 3.0 Sampling Aggressive sampling was performed using fans and leaf blowers prior to setting up the samples in the breathing zone. Five pumps were set in the work area and allowed to equilibrate. The pumps were calibrated and PCM cassettes were attached on stands to each. The pumps were allowed to sample until the requirements of NIOSH Method 7400 were met. The pumps were then recalibrated and the average of the two calibrations was used to calculate the volume of air passed through each cassette. A demolition of the drywall, ceiling, and kitchen flooring required asbestos containing materials be abated by a certified General Abatement Contractor. 2.0 Visual Inspection A thorough visual inspection was performed touching areas to ensure no dust or debris was present. Some carpet pieces along with lighting fixtures had to be recleaned. 3.0 Sampling Aggressive sampling was performed using fans and leaf blowers prior to setting up the samples in the breathing zone. Five pumps were set in the work area and allowed to equilibrate. The pumps were calibrated and PCM cassettes were attached on stands to each. The pumps were allowed to sample until the requirements of NIOSH Method 7400 were met. The pumps were then recalibrated and the average of the two calibrations was used to calculate the volume of air passed through each cassette.
