Based on the worst case and reasonable water demand from each unit, the attached calculations show that the cumulative pressure losses will not exceed a level to would cause the service pressure to drop below the typical requirements for residentail use. If a pressure restrictor or a pressure reducer valve is used, these should be installed only after the water service has split to each unit, preferably within each unit's utility area and after the 1-1/4" service line has been connected to the main plumbing. Golden, CO. September 10, 2003 ItE: Lot 1-6, Turgeon Subdivision Drainage Issues Mr.Darin Morgan, The retention pond began to retain water at approximately 7/15/03, despite the absence of rain. Within the span of a week the water level at the bottom of the headwall reached a level of 15 inches. At this level the water table is sti1124 inches below the bottom of the crawl space of the existing buildings. Fearing that the rising water would soon reach the level of the existing crawl spaces I contacted John Griffith, the drainage engineer, to discuss my concerns. He assured me that this was a random occurrence resuhing fi'om the excessive amounts of water being diverted by the local ditch companies and that shortly it would return to normal. Yow letter of 8/5/03 informed me of yow concern about the percolation of the pond. I also talked to Mr.Brossman about those same issues. Since I was keeping a log of the water levels at the head wall and at the water meter pits on lots 2,3,4,5, Mr. Brossman requested that I pmvide the report for your file. A site plan, prepared and signed by a Colorado registered professional engineer, at a scale of no less than1 inch to twenty feet (1:20) which illustrakes the following: 1. Location an dimensions of all property boundaries and structures on the site. 2. Location and extent of areas to be filled and/or excavated. 3. Location of existing waterways and drainage courses indicating any changes. (for a site containing an established irrigation ditch, a letter of approval from the appropriate ditch company shall be required). 4. Location of existing and proposed points of ingress. 5. Location and extent of existing vegetation, proposed changes in such vegetation and methods of rehabilitation on site vegetation after earthwork operations are complete. 6. Erosion control plan. 7. Grading plan with existirig (dashed lines) and proposed (solid lines) ground contours with contour intervals of 2 feet and spot elevations. 8. At least two cross sections (east to west and north to south) through the site showing depth of fill and/or excavation. 9. A drainage report may be required if site runoff characteristics are changed. 10. Relative elevations of adjacent properties and structures. 11. Statement of purpose of intended fill and/or excavation. 4. Performance Standards: The following provisions shall appfy to all Minor Excavation and Fill Permits: A. . Rehabilitation: Within thirty(30) days after cessation of filiing and/or excauation, rehabilitation for the site shall have_ been completed in accordance with the approyed plans. Rehabilitation shall consist of leveling, grading, landscaping or any combination thereof to minimize potential erosion anii be acceptable to the City Engineer. B. Debris: Debris and/or contaminants shall not be used except with the approval of the City Engineer. "For the purpose of this Section, the term debris shall have the same meaning as the terms "garbage, trash orjunk" as defined in the Wheat Ridge Code of Laws, Section 15-4."
