The following requirements are made under the 2003 International Fire
Code adopted by the Fire Board of the Wheat Ridge Fire Protection District
and the City Council of the City of Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
Demolition requirements,
1. The trash dumpsters used in demolition shall be greater than 20
feet form any structure.
2. Sign stating "NO SMOKING" shall be posted on the entry to the
construction site.
3. The Fire Lanes serving the existing buildings shall remain clear at
all times of construction.
4. Any utilities with the work site shall be clearly marked and
protected from damage from construction equipment.
5. A Fire Extinguisher with a minimum rating of 2A-40BC shall be
within 10 feet of all "HOT WORK" operations.
6. The areas of construction shall have adequate site protection for
public safety.
7. An emergency phone shall be available to all employees during
construction.
8. Emergency numbers for the wark site shall be clearly posted.
(Number for the general contractor and facilities management
shall also be posted.)
9. Changes to the existing plans shall be submitted to the Fire
District for approval.
Construction requirements:
1. A monitored Fire Alarm system shall be installed and attached to the
required hood system within the kitchen area.( Plans shall be
submitted for approval and permitting for both systems.)
2. Several inspections shall be scheduled with the Fire Marshal for
approval of work areas as they are completed. (Contact me to set a
schedule.)
3. All permits shall be posted at the site of construction.
4. All trash dumpsters shall be greater than 20 feet from any building.
5. An evacuation drill shall be performed with all sub-contractors.
6. An emergency phone shall be provided for all work areas.
7. All contractors shall be notified of all emergency exits and the
importance of leaving them clear.
8. All electrical and gas shutoffs shall be exterior of the building and be
clearly posted with the address of disconnect.
9. All "BMERGENCY SHUT OFF" valves or power supplies shall be
clearly marked as such. (Signage shall be placed on all electrical shut
offs, stating the units they deactivate.) All warnings shall be clearly
posted on the entrance to the enclosed areas.
lO.The compressed gas cylinders shall be attached with three points of
contact.

Re: Addition to existing hood system, 10081 West 26"' Ave. Johnny's Pizza.
The following requirements are made under the 2003 International Fire
Code adopted by the Fire Board of the Wheat Ridge Fire Protection District
and the City Council of the City of Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
1. Plans submitted to the Fire District do not show any type of fire
extinguisher. A class "K" fire extinguisher shall be within 30 feet of
commercial cooking but not less than 10 feet from the commercial
cooking area.
2. The Fire District shall be notified with a 24 hour notice for final
testmg.
3. The Fire District shall be present for a full system test prior to final
being issued.
4. All systems (Gas, Electric) under the hood, shall shut down on
activation of the fire suppression system.
5. Any deep fryers shall be chained to the wall as designated per code.
6. All electrical and gas lines shall be approved by the City of Wheat
Ridge, Building official.
7. Upon system activation the Fire Alarm system shall activate
simultaneously.
8. Any changes to the approved plans shall be submitted to the Fire
District for approval.
9. All paths of egress shall remain clear at all times of construction

BAKERS PRIDE Super Deck Y-Series gas Deck Ovens are designed
for high volume pizza and ali-purpose operations.
Ovens may be stacked two high. Oven exteriors are ail heary-
gauge, type 403 stainless steel and are fully insulated up to 5"
I127mm) ffiick for cooler outer temperatures and consistent irrterior
temperatures.
Interim oven frame is constructed of 1/4" (6mm) heavy-dury angle
iron frame, completely welded to form a single, unitized section.
The oven body and lining are then welded to the tramework.
Oven interiors are manufactured of high-heat resistant 16-gauge
aluminized steel. Doors are fully insulated, spring balanced with
tubular steel handles and will remain open or ciosed until moved.
All models feature independent, operator-controlled top B bottom
heat control dampers and micro slides for perfectly balanced
resWts.
Y Series features a 300°-650° F(149°343°C) throttling thermostat,
8" (203mm) interior deck height with t 1/2" (38mm) thlck hearth
baking decks (steel decks optionap and are supported by a 1/4"
(6mm) angle iron frame.
Combination gas contral incorporates a manual gas valve, pilot
safery and pressure regularor. Easily removable, slide-out, heavy-
duty flame diverters distribute the burner flame uniformly in the
bumer chambec A 3/4" (19mm) NPT gas connection is focated on
the left side and left rear of oven - operator/nstaller may choose.
Heavy-duty, 7-gauge hot rolled steel legs are standard and finished
with durable Bakertone.
