inspection, conducted when 25-75 percent of the roof covering is installed, prior to fin:
approval. Installation of roof sheathing (new or overlay) requires an approved inspecti

subject to the compliance with those documents, and all applicable statutes, ordinances, regulations, policies and procedures.
2. This permit shall expire 365 days after the date of issuance regardless of activity. Requests for extension must be made in writing and
received prior to the date of expiration. An extension of no more than 180 days made be granted at the discretion of the Chief Building
Official and may be subject to a fee equal to one-half of the original permit fee.
3. If this permit expires, a new permit may be required to be obtained. Issuance of a new permit shall be subject to the standard
requirements, fees androcedures for approval of any new permit. Re -issuance or extension of expired permits is at the sole discretion of
the Chief Building Official and is not guaranteed.

contractors only. This type of permit is ONLY being processed online --do not come
to City Hall to submit an application in person. Permits are processed and issued in 0

For all other requests:
Homeowners wishing to obtain a roofing permit must apply for the permit in person
at City Hall. Revisions to existing permits (for example, to add redecking) must be
completed in person at City Hall. All other non -roofing permits must be completed in
person at City Hall. The Building Division will be open from 7:30-10:30 a.m.,
Monday through Friday to process these types of requests.

An inspection of the aYorementioned residence was performed on March 24, 2005 per the
reyuest of Mr. Estrada in regazd to foundation requirements for the enclosure of an
existing ruofed patio at the reaz of ihe residence.
Upon inspection, it has been determined that the residence is hU]ll iipon snr~ad fcc;i;n,!
toi,nc:a;ion witil Uhe iootings _i ieet helow grade and that the patio slab is a 5 to ti inch
deep concrete surface covered with a grouted ceramic tile covering placed directly upon
the concrete. The porch roof is structurally iutegral to the main structure of the residence.
There is no visible evidence in the porch area of any intolerable soil movement. "i he
foundation of the residence is intact and there is no cracking or separation of tiles and
grouted joints.
Because the intcnded construction is a 3-season type room (commonly knowm as an
"Arizona" room), with a separation from the residence by a wall, windows, and glass
doors, with no design to create typical intemal utility or heating facility; and because uf
the appazent stability of the indigenous soils, it is anarouriate that the walls of the room
be foimded uoon the existine patio slab ratF;er than requiring the addition of a spread
footing appropriate for a year-round occupancy of a structurai addition.

An inspection of the aforementioned residence was performed on Mazch 24, 2005 per the
reyuest of Mr. Estrada in regard to foundation requirements for the enclosure of an
existing roofed patio at the reaz of the residence.
Upon inspection, it has been determined that the residenze is built upnn srr,:a:i foer,ns
i'uunua;iun witn the iootings 3 teet helow grade and that the patio slab is a 5 to b inch
deep concrete surface covered with a grouted ceramic tile covering placed directly upon
the concrete. The porch roof is structurally integral to the main structure of the residence.
There is no visible evidence in the porch azea of any intolerable soil movement. 'The
foundation of the residence is intact and there is no cracking or separation of tiles and
grouted joints.
Because the iniended construction is a 3-season type room (commonly knowm as an
"Arizona" room), with a sepazation from the residence by a wall, windows, and glass
doors, with no design to create rypical internal utility or heating facility; and because of
the apparent stability of the indigenous soils, it_ is avpronriate that the walls of the room
be founded upon the existine patio slab ratter than requiring the addition of a spread
footing appropriate for a year-round occupancy of a structural addition.
