Effective December 1, 2014, asphalt shingle installations require an approved midroof
inspection, conducted when 25-75 percent of the roof covering is installed, prior to final
approval. Installation of roof sheathing (new or overlay) requires an approved inspection
prior to installation of ANY roof coverings and is require on the entire roof when spaced
or board sheathing with ANY gap exceeding A/2 -inch exists. Asphalt shingles are required to
be fastened to the roof deck with a minimum of 6 nails per shingle. Ice and water shield is
required. Eave and rake metal is required. A ladder extending 3 feet above the roof eave
and secured in place is required to be provided for all roof inspections. Roof ventilation
is required to comply with applicable codes and/or manufacturera€ms installation
instructions, whichever is more stringent. In order to pass a final inspection of
elastomeric or similar type roof coverings, a letter of inspection and approval from the
manufacturer's technical representative stating that "the application of the roof at
(project address) has been applied in accordance with the installation instruction for
(roof material brand name) roof covering" is required to be on site at the time of final
inspection.

Official and may be subject to a fee equal to one-half of the original permit fee.
3. If this permit expires, a new permit may be required to be obtained. Issuance of a new permit shall be subject to the standard
requirements, fees androcedures for approval of any new permit. Re -issuance or extension of expired permits is at the sole discretion of
the Chief Building Official and is not guaranteed.

to City Hall to submit an application in person. Permits are processed and issued in
the order they are received. YOU WILL BE CONTACTED WHEN YOUR PERMIT

WINDOW TO COMPLETE THE TRANSACTION. You will be notified if your
contractor's license or insurance has expired, and you may update those
documents at the time you are issued your permit. Permits are currently being
processed within 24-48 hours, subject to change based on volume.
For all other requests:
Homeowners wishing to obtain a roofing permit must apply for the permit in person
at City Hall. Existing permits that require amendments (for example, to add
redecking) must be completed in person at City Hall. All other non -roofing permits
must be completed in person at City Hall. The Building Division will be open from
7:30-10:30 a.m., Monday through Friday to process these types of requests.

Dear Mr. Crane:
This letter is in rosponse to your request for confumation of the availability of sanitary sewer service for
the above development. By supplying Uris informarion, the Wheat Ridge Sanitadon District (District) is
not liable for the misidentification or misrepresentation of the development. The loca8on of the
development is based solely on the description provided by the requestor, and ttte District is not
responsible for the way in which this infotmarion is used or disseminated.
The development is entirely within the boundary and service area of the District. The District collection
system in this area consists of an 8-inch sanitary sewer main ]ine within 30'" Avenue to the noRh of the
development. Treatment of sewage generated withirt the District is provided by the Metro Wasuwater
Reclamation District (Metro).
The District will be able to serve the development and plepned duplexes with respect to sanitary sewer
service. The DistricYs Rules and Regulafions aze availabk to the owner upon request, and some general
requirementa from that document are highlighted below,
• The parcel will be subject to the assesament of both District and Metro tap/permit charges. The
2007 tap/pernrit charges for each single family equivalent (i.e. each unit in eaeh duplex) aze
$1,500.00 for the District and $1,980.00 for Metro ($3,480.00 tobl), but are subject to change for
2008.
• Each unit of each duplex shall have an independeat service line connecting to the sanitary sewer
main line. The service lines shall be installed per the District's Rules and Regulations.
• Installation of the new service lines will be subject to inspection by the Dishict and paid for by
the owner. The 2007 inspection fees are $100 per service line.
• A new S-inch sanitary sewer main line and a minimum of two (2) maoholes per the District's
Rules and Regulations shall be installed by the owner as part of the construction. The de-in W the
existing sanitary sewer msin line ia 3e Avenue will depend on the alignment of the new
segment, but is also the responsibiliry of the owner.
• The owner will be subject to the Charge Beck Agreement, which requires the owner to pay for the
DistricYs cost associated with review of plans and inspec6on of the new sanitary sewer main line
segment.
