Residential Roofing Permit Application
This application is exclusively for new permits for residential roofs and for licensed
contractors only. This type of permit is ONLY being processed online --do not come
to City Hall to submit an application in person. Permits are processed and issued in
the order they are received and due to the volume of requests, time to process
varies and is subject to change. YOU WILL BE CONTACTED WHEN YOUR
PERMIT IS READY FOR PICK-UP AND WILL BE GIVEN A SPECIFIC DATE
AND TIME WINDOW TO COMPLETE THE TRANSACTION. You will be notified if
your contractor's license or insurance has expired, and you may update those
documents at the time you are issued your permit.
For all other requests:
Homeowners wishing to obtain a roofing permit must apply for the permit in person
at City Hall. Revisions to existing permits (for example, to add redecking) must be
completed in person at City Hall. All other non -roofing permits must be completed in
person at City Hall. The Building Division will be open from 7:30-10:30 a.m.,
Monday through Friday to process these types of requests.

Effective December 1, 2014, asphalt shingle installations require an approved midroof
inspection, conducted when 25-75 percent of the roof covering is installed, prior to final
approval. Installation of roof sheathing (new or overlay) is required on the entire roof
when spaced or board sheathing with ANY gap exceeding one half inch exists. Sheathing and
mid -roofs may be called in at the same time, one hundred percent of the sheathing must be
complete and 25-75 percent of the mid -roof may be complete. Asphalt shingles are required
to be fastened to the roof deck with a minimum of 6 nails per shingle. Ice and water shield
is required. Eave and rake metal is required. A ladder extending 3 feet above the roof eave
and secured in place is required to be provided for all roof inspections. Roof ventilation
is required to comply with applicable codes and/or manufacturer installation instructions,
whichever is more stringent. In order to pass a final inspection of elastomeric or similar
type roof coverings, a letter of inspection and approval from the manufacturer technical
representative stating that "the application of the roof at (project address) has been
applied in accordance with the installation instruction for (roof material brand name)
roof covering" is required to be on site at the time of final inspection.
Midroof & Final Roof inspections for ROOFS OVER 6/12 PITCH: 3rd party inspection will be
required, the 3rd party inspection report AND THE ORIGINAL PERMIT CARD needs to be dropped
off to the Permit Desk at the City of Wheat Ridge. The report MUST BE SIGNED by the
Homeowner.

PFS insnects the manufacturinq facility and its production with such
frequency and as thoroughly as necessary to verify that the
Temo, Inc. production process quality control program is in
compliance with current state regulations. Temo, Inc. has completed all the neceesary testing requirements with
PFS for a NER.
The presence of the PFS trademark on the panel is your assurance that
PFS oversees production of the panels as described above.
PFS Corporation offers unique professional service to manufacturers,
regulatory agencies and consumers. As a third-party agency, we do
plan review, design, consulting, inplant inspections, testing and
certify a wide variety of producte, including manufactured panels.
PFS is formally recognized by many agencies across the nation and
worldwide. Our Council of American Building Officials (CABO)

engineering used to design the Temo patio enclosure
system. This report represents the culmination of many
years of developing our product into the industry's
standard. Temo Incorporated's twenty three years
experience in the enclosure business has gained us the
reputation as the leader in our field. Our commitment to
research and development allows us to offer
state-of-the-art materials and construction techniques at
a reasonable cost to the consumer.
Our enclosure system as well as the building components
used are fully engineered to comply with all the national
codes. Because there is currently no section in the code
books that strictly addresses patio enclosure systems, it
is our policy to present to each individual building
department for local approval. Our product is currently
designed in compliance with the BOCA National Building
code and is under the supervision of third party quality
control (see sheet "A2"). Please review the following
information for permit approval, as we feel it is
complete. In any case that additional engineering
information may be needed for special concerns, it can be

ROOF PANEL:
DESCRIPTION: A sandwich panel consisting of a polystyrene foam care
laminated with a urethane prepolymer solution to aluminum skins
CORE: 3.0 inch or 4.25 inch chick, two pound per cubic foot density
polystyrene loam (UL CLassification Number R6705).
SKIN: 3003-H14 Aluminum. Skin thickness is either 0.019 inches or
0.032 inches.
WALLS:
DESCRIPTION: Sandwich panel consisting of a polystyrene foam core laminated
with a urethane prep0lymer solution to a fiberglass exterior
akin and high pressure laminate inc_',r skin.
CORE: 2.0 inch or 3.0 inch thick, one pound per cubic foot density
polystyrene foam (UL Classification Number R6705).
SKIN: Exterior - .036 inches fiberglass, interior - .045 inches in
high pressure laminae (UL Classification Number R4540 (N)
Grade 50).
WINDOWS: Extruded aluminum Jamb, head and sill with either
aluminum cash and single pane glass or vinyl sash with
insulated glass
FLOORS:
CONCRETE: All concrete floor shell have a minimum thickness of 4 inches
of 3000 pound concrete constructed on a 4 inch compacted base
or as requl4ed by local codes. ExiaciDg conccere :lobo s1u11 be
in good condiilon with no evidence of cracking, seepage, spal-
ling or an unstable foundation.
WOOD: All wood floors shall be c...'-.red in accordance with local
