Peel off backing from VELUX adhesive skylight underlayment prior to applying it to roof decking and skylight frame. Ensure that surfaces are clean, dry and free of debris. Wrap the bottom frame and corners of the skylight with the underlayment and create water - shedding laps over roofing underlayment. Skylight FS: Lift up the rubber gasket while wrapping the bottom frame. Note: Observe the measurements stated. REGARDING ROOF VENTILATION: Roof ventilation shall comply with IBC Sec. 1203.2 or IRC Sec. R806. The installation of ridge venting requires the installation or existence of soffit venting. For calculation purposes, one hat or turtle vent equal to one-half of one square foot of opening. Effective December 1, 2014, asphalt shingle installations require an approved midroof inspection, conducted when 25-75 percent of the roof covering is installed, prior to final approval. The addition consists of a concrete slab with a monolithic pour foundation in accordance with Wheat Ridge requirements. The depth of the monolithic foundation has been installed a minimum of 18" below the grade. Reinforcing bars have been installed in the monolithic pour including two #4s top and bottom of the foundation and a vertical #4 where the curb occurs. #4 dowel bars at 18" with a turndown leg have been placed in the concrete slab-on-grade. The slab-on-grade is reinforced with #4s at 18" each way. These reinforcing bars have been placed in accordance with building code requirements. No objections were taken to the placement of the reinforcing and it has ail been placed in accordance with our specifications.
