REGARDING ROOF VENTILATION: Roof ventilation shall comply with IBC Sec. 1203.2 or IRC Sec. R806. The installation of ridge venting requires the installation or existence of soffit venting. For calculation purposes, one hat or turtle vent equal to one-half of one square foot of opening. Effective December 1, 2014, asphalt shingle installations require an approved midroof inspection, conducted when 25-75 percent of the roof covering is installed, prior to final approval. Installation of roof sheathing (new or overlay) is required on the entire roof when spaced or board sheathing with ANY gap exceeding one half inch exists. Sheathing and mid -roofs may be called in at the same time, one hundred percent of the sheathing must be complete and 25-75 percent of the mid -roof may be complete. Asphalt shingles are required to be fastened to the roof deck with a minimum of 6 nails per shingle. Ice and water shield is required. Eave and rake metal is required. A ladder extending 3 feet above the roof eave and secured in place is required to be provided for all roof inspections. During the duration of the work the customer's homeowner's insurance will be responsible for any interior damages to the property. 4. The Co. is not responsible for construction problems of the home. If pointed out and notified to the Co., the Co. will try to assist in correcting them on a time and material basis. Such problems include but are not limited to rotten, swollen or deteriorated siding, fascia, soffits, stucco, masonry and/or decking, poor ventilation, irregularities in decking due to settling or bowing of framing, rusted, poorly installed or damaged gutters, furnace stacks, and items that do not meet local code end must be fixed to pass required inspections. 5. Should the work of the Company fail to meet required code inspections, the homeowner agrees to allow the Company to complete the required repairs in a reasonable time frame. 6. Any alteration or deviation from specifications involving extra cost will be executed only upon written orders, and will become an extra charge over and above the estimate. 7. This contract and labor warranty shall not be assigned and are nontransferable unless specified in writing. 8. The Company shall revoke labor warranty if contract is not paid in full. 9. Homeowner acknowledges Integrity Xteriors as a General Contractor and as such will be entitled to 10% profit and 10% overhead if approved by insurance company as part of the claim. '.6.
