The purpose of our visit was to evaluate the existing foundation wall for the possible creation of two standard egress casement windows 30" wide x 47" high in a 9" thick foundation wall on a spread footing. At the time of the observation, a visual inspection was performed of the existing foundation wall. One of the openings is to be created on the load bearing wall and the second opening is to be created on the non -load-bearing gable end. Based on our visual observation of the conditions surrounding the existing foundation wall, we can determine that the existing window openings width will remain as is and only the height of the openings will be increased to accommodate the new windows height of 47". The windows headers will remain as is, and there is no need to make any changes. The recommendations in this report are based on observable conditions.
